GSP is a headshot away from the loony bin. Two years ago I would have been all over that match-up, but times move on....
Yep, I'm pretty sure GSP is done. On this subject has anyone been following the Joe Rogan and Brendan Schaub Podcast conversation with regards head injuries - it's quite fascinating the line Joe Rogan has started to take on the subject of brain injury given what a large part he's played in the UFC and how well respected he is, it's a serious issue, if GSP did get in the octagon again I'd find it pretty hard to watch. Has anyone attended the UK shows.
I've been pretty disappointed due to lack of world class opponents per the ones I went to.
Of course seeing machida vs munoz was good but it was a late replacement
Anyone know if there are back in the UK this yr ?

Looking at his frame, middleweight would seem best.
Can't wait to watch the Best In The World get his UFC career underway!CM Punk.

Because 'pipe bomb' mic skills don't work when you are faced with people who really are the 'best in the world'.
Yes, he's been doing martial arts for a while. Yes, I'm sure he is a skilled athlete. Will he trouble the UFC roster? It remains to be seen, but I have a healthy skepticism around it. I think Dana is too in love with his Brock Lesnar memories, when the UFC properly crossed over.

Brock Lesnar was a world level olympic wrestler very well respected on the american college wrseting circuit etc (so I believe).Yes, he's been doing martial arts for a while. I don't know who this CM Punk is or who he's going to fight and I'll watch with interest but I don't give him a chance. Pro MMA is a frightening business.

Nope, he was a NCAA Div 1 champion but no further. Went into pro wrestling from there, then UFC. He was defeated in his first UFC fight, and went from there.... For me, he and the original 'Ultimate Fighter' is why the UFC properly broke the US domestic market.
I stand corrected, Brock is also somewhat of a physical specimen. Maybe CM punk will be the next big thing, I just can't see it though. He's listed there on the site: http://www.ufc.com/fighter/Weight_Class/Middleweig...
Let's see what happens. I'm not holding my breath...

So the UFC have ranked him 13 - that's a bit mental, based on what?? I can see this kind of thing really bothering other fighters when the new pay structure comes into effect, I see some law suits have been filed already over pay...Let's see what happens. I'm not holding my breath...

6 months Jujitsu (all be it with Rener gracie) isn't going to prepare him for a Chris Weidman. Lyoto Macida and Tim Kennedy aren't even on the front page - weird...
