I found the whole card pretty boring to be honest.

Diaz - Silva especially so. Neither one of them really looked like they were going to engage at any point. First round was pretty funny and thought we were going to see Diaz open up on Silva, but nothing much happened really, for two of the supposedly best fighters in the world a lot of standing around looking at each other happened.

I'm looking forward to Rousey - Zingano next. I think Cat might actually take it.

Two excellent boxers and counter punchers with enough experience of being punched in the head to know that it's best avoided. Diaz must genuinely have rocks in his head if he is going to carry on fighting from here, what was that elbow out defense all about?

Thing is I really don't think anyone has been close to a challenge for her yet. Zingano (is she says herself) is going to be her biggest challenge to date. It will be interesting either way, and my guess is they both come out swinging.

Ouch!

With repect to that web page I note that half the highlighted editorials at the bottom of the story are about female MMA competitors getting their paps out - I find that all rather depressing in the interests of the sport. Rousey will pull her arm off, no doubt, it's what she does.

Thought the Main event and co-main were a letdown, none of the fighters fully committed, i can't imagine leaving the cage and knowing you didn't do everything you could to win

some really good fights lower down the card and in the prelims though

How does Diaz manage to get these big fights? He hasn't fought in ages and has been losing lately without doing anything special. But as he's got a big mouth he seems to end up as main event.

Large loyal fanbase. Like or loathe him, he's a draw and will sell PPV's

Ronda Rousey vs Cristiane Justino is the fight that needs to happen if they can agree on weight.

I don't see why Ronda should take that fight at anything other than 135lb, Which Cyborg will never be able to make.

I agree. Cyborg needs to make that weight or no fight. Changing weight for Ronda is wrong as she is champion at that weight.

Well obviously Cyborg would have to make 135lb for a title fight, but I can't see that happening hence suggesting the bout at Catch weight.

Silva tests positive for steroids, Diaz for pot.

I think for a lot of reasons we may have just seen Silvas last hurrah.

Cyborg has been calling out Ronda for so long, she needs to lay off the juice and make 135 if she wants the fight. Taking a catch weight fight makes zero sense for Ronda at this time.

Nick Diaz smokes weed - not news.

Silva tested positive for steroids a few weeks before the fight but is still allowed to compete? How?

I always thought Silva was one of the relatively few guys in high level MMA that isn't taking PEDS so i was surprised to hear of this result
