I would assume the leg break and desire for a speedy recovery had a role in the positive test for Silva. Plus, he's nearly 40.

Heads up - fight night this weekend. Looks like Benson Henderson is taking a leaf out of Cowboys book and fighting again quickly. Hopefully the poor decision against him last time out has put a fire under him and he'll actually look for a finish.

Surprised no one has posted on Hector Lombard getting done for PEDs. I'm falling out of love with the UFC, think I preferred it when I thought these guys were super human, turns out there seems to be a rampant culture of PEDs.

I missed that one...

So Lombard, Silva, all the stories about Vitor, does Brazil have an issue in this? Americans and illegal drugs, Brazilians with semi-legal....

(Yes, I know Chael was caught....)

Alot of them will be on something when not competing, it was rumoured that it was rife within a certain Northern (North of the Watford gap) club where UFC fighters used to train

It's their job, their livelihood. I wouldn't hold it against them if they are on stuff.

I've met Chieck Kongo, have to say, he has a fking awesome physique, mucho respect to him.
Also met Rampage, he wasn't a chatty lad though. biggrin

He had the toothpick in his mouth during the fight! WTF? Why would you do that...? Impressive fight but that's just ridiculous.

Right, just caught up on the last fight-night....

Thoughts are: Prelims were generally better than the main. Smilin' Sam seems to have something wrong with his hands, Johnson fought well and as for Mir... well!

This weekend it's Cat Vs Angry face. I think angry girl will take it handily, thus clearing out the division?

I can't wait for cat vs Rhonda, I think Rhonda will win but Cat has a story behind her so suspect she'll have great support.

Bigfoot's chin had totally gone, that punch would have knocked me down but it didn't look like that much, time to hang up the needle, I mean gloves...

Pretty much, it didn't look like a punch that would knock someone like that down did it. There didn't seem to be much behind it.

This weekend is going to be ace, looking forward to seeing Holm in action. As pretty much everyone agrees I have Rousey to take it, but I think if Cat can stay out of the clinch it might be interesting. Just watched the stare downs. Rhonda has had a lot of PR training hasn't she.

Amazing the amount of underdogs who won in that brazil fight night. Not sure if johnson fought great or barboza was off colour. Pleased for mir, i dont like bigfoot to be honest. Is it me or is this weekends UFC event lacking in top quality fights. I like WMMA but the main and co main arent that exciting to me. I hope Cat wins but I think RR will win and possibly quickly. Would have been nice to have another big mens match up as co main but there you go.

It was quite special wasn't it.

Re this weekend, I think that's the whole point, trying to build on the Women's division with some serious PR.
