It's telling that Andy's forced into stressing his 'Britishness' these days when he previously was proudly Scottish (which, I assume, he still is). The power of PR and advertising I think!
It is the media who tries to make an issue of this. He has almost always referred to himself as British, even before he became a top flight player.elster said:

They're in a minority if they do - a very small minority.

They would also refer to themselves as Scottish.
Much like I am a British Yorkshireman.
At international sports, who do the Scottish play for/support other than Football/Rugby/Cricket?
I am pretty sure it is Team Great Britain.

Doesn't apply if they're Rangers supporters though

If you ask them their Nationality and they say British I'll eat my hat, your hat and all the hats I can find

Maybe it is just because they are educated and they actually know their nationality.Doesn't apply if they're Rangers supporters though
