It's not his physical game. It's his head. He simply cannot win the crucial matches.

I will now predict that he will never win a Grand Slam fianl in the hope that he reads this and wins Wimbledon.
...and with that post Zod we're now full circle back to my opening post...again.

Murray's now beginning to buck even the laws of Quantum probability...

Anyway we both seem pretty sure about our views so perhaps we could make it interesting. Are you a sporting man?
Oh this is gonna be interesting...yes
Not sure if we are allowed to use PH as a gambling format so perhaps we should confirm by email so PM me. Would suggest a GS in the next 3 years and for a few hundred to make the wait worthwhile! Mind you should be all done by dusted by Jan next year at Melbourne. biggrin
Nah - not 3 years...crikey, even I'll win one in that time frame...2 years for £100 to the charity of my/your choice?
I'd feel better at 3 years!! Mind you I'll take £100 for you not winning one anytime soon biggrin
Money's looking safe so far im.
Nicely quoted HR - I owe you a drink if Greenie coughs up!

This predicting business is a piece of p1ss isn't it wink

Anyway - with the French Open now over - Grand Slam attention now switches to Wimbledon and the inevitable question...

In what round will we all be deflated this year hehe

Looks like he'll win this and then make short work of his next opponent in the Qtr's so in all likelyhood is into Friday's semi against a 'struggling' Nadal?

What could possibly go wrong (this time) hehe

? The last time Murray played Nadal in the Australian Open was in 2010 and Murray did indeed win that match.
Ah...thought you were saying Murray won the Aussie Open...sorry...

Carry on.

As long as Nadal is seeded 1 and Murray 4, they will always meet in the semis and I just don't think Murray
is as good as Nadal and will always struggle. Why don't the Wimbledon committee seed Murray as 3.
He might then meet someone else in a run to the final.
Because you can't just make up the seedings to suite your particular home-grown favourite. The seedings are calculated using a known formula.

...And frankly, in the worlds eyes, Murray is no better than 4th.

Why should Djokovic or Federer have to drop down a place and face Nadal in the Semi when they are clearly better than Murray???

I think someone is due a charitable donation smile
I think he has a 'get out of jail' card in as much as his post said he'd "feel better if it was 3 years".

So...next September then...biggrin

No he won't.
I concur. Not in a million years. The schoolboy game has very little 'transferability' to the pro game...
Perhaps Murray ought to compete it that then biggrin

Maybe slightly unfair given he's no. 4 in the world during a time of probably the best standard of tennis ever...
scratchchin...Better than the days of Borg, Connors & McEnroe?

Had guessed the lazy comment was made tongue in cheek but you're right, the notion that Murray would "demolish" Borg, McEnroe or Connors in their prime is indeed a joke! wink
yes

Their names shouldn't even be in the same paragraph. I believe that given the training regime, coaching and equipment that they have today Borg would be head and shoulders above todays top 4.

Some of the games/rallys against Connors and McEnroe when all at their best will never be seen again.

Frankly Ivan Lendl at his best would have seen off Murray...hell, even Roscoe Tanner would have demolished him.

Do you have that wager on as that could be a tasty pick? I think Murray will win his first Slam at either Melbourne or U.S
I'll take that wager if anyone is interested.

£20 he doesn't win either.
