Think Porter was the winner, Brook came back into the fight very well, but I thought Porter just edged that.
A pick'em fight. Even when Porter was pouring it on and pushing Brook around, the cleaner shots were coming from Brook. If you like aggression and energy, you could make a reasonable case for Porter.Either way, didn't see a 117-111 though...

For the 11 and a half rounds I saw, I would have given it to Brook, I think he landed the cleaner shots by far. But I thought that Porter would get it for his aggression and the fact that it was on his home patch.
Despite being a bit of a clinch-fest, I think it was a good fight and Brook was a worthy winner. I would like to see Brook vs Khan now.

That was very close, but I can see a case for it going either way. Delighted Kell pulled it off!!

Also, it's worth making the point, Kell Brook has just won a world title by beating an American fighter in the USA. The magnitude of that should not be forgotten. Not many British fighters have managed that...not many at all.
Out of interest, does anyone know who has done that before?Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
