You can see all the money and ego unraveling in such a raw fashion his skills are without question but his persona and attitude are just becoming more and more foul as the years progress

Yeah, I wasn't expecting that either. That said, decent undercard as well - two world title fights (Quigg, McDonnell), Joshua and Callum Smith...think I'll pay up for it. smile

ETA: coincidentally, both world titles are WBA versions of the belt where there is purportedly a 'superior' WBA champion, as well as an Interim champion snapping at their heels! On that basis, I'm asking Sky for a discount...!

Listening to eubanks version of events versus frank warrens version I've got to be honest..........eubank isn't coming out of this well. Given his background of sparring anyone anywhere and his talent I don't think for one minute he's bottled it...............but it does look bad!
It's back on!

I'm with you but looking forward to it either way, no matter the outcome.

Very impressed with Josh Warrington last night, he's a punching machine.

Warrington was excellent. Let's hope he starts to develop a habit of knocking people out. His KO % is not impressive, and from watching him you would expect more. He is certainly a future star though.

Hopefully next year we will see Callum Smith vs George Groves. Again, Smith was impressive!

Nurse needs to man up a bit- those two knock downs from jabs were pretty pathetic. Once I could pass off as being off balance and is a mistake, but twice in two rounds is a bit soft. His corner obviously didn't believe that he was focused for the first few rounds (hence telling him many times that 'this is a boxing match') and the poor start cost him dearly.

Good to see Rose and Burns get back to winning ways. But Burns isn't looking right.

Having orchestrated Froch-Groves at Wembley Stadium, and now turning a big domestic showdown (Bellew-Cleverly) into a PPV event; as well as trying to secure Brook-Khan for 2015, Eddie Hearn is also talking about Haye vs Joshua!!!

Even if not every one of his plans comes off, the man has serious ambition and it's making for some blcensoreddy exciting times as a UK boxing fan!!!

Isn't it too early for Joshua to be taking on someone like Haye?

There's plenty of ifs and buts (for example, it has yet to be proven if Haye will be able to get anywhere near where he was prior to the shoulder op - if he can't, he'll call it a day; can't see him allowing himself to be used as a stepping stone by fighters who want to get a name on their CV) and you need to read between the lines as well. Yes, Haye-Joshua would be a stadium fight in 2015 but he's not saying that's what he would be looking to set up for Joshua in 2015; indeed, it's kind of implicit in what he says - Joshua could be ready to go in with fighters of that calibre by the end of 2015 but stadium fights tend to be summer occasions, which would point more towards mid-2016. That would probably be a more realistic timeframe for Haye too given he's yet to announce a comeback opponent and will initially focus on getting a world title shot (he's talking about 3-4 fights).

All in all, still a long way away but if anyone can make it happen, it would be Hearn/Matchroom...

If I was plotting AJ's career the opponents I would be targeting over the next year would include Price, Fury and then possibly Wilder. Then go for Haye if an option.

I think wilder is all hot air you know. there's footage out there of him getting absolutely spanked in sparring against haye and wladimir. guys looking wild in sparring and then seen getting dropped by jabs with 16oz gloves and headguards are a big accident waiting to happen

ha! Charlie zelanoff!!! the footage of him hitting mayweather senior when his back was turned and then getting the st beat out of after that was priceless. the wilder "2 left gloves" episode was pretty funny too. that said, imagine if he'd have permanently damaged him or something!! long stretch inside right there. btween beating up kids with learning difficulties and beating the st out of his bird I think it's pretty safe to say he's a scumbag of the highest order

Just looked up the heavyweight rankings to try to gauge where Joshua might be pitching and was suprised to see that ring magazine have Fury at 4 - If I were Antony Joshua's management I wouldn't be putting him in with someone unbeaten, I'd be looking for someone experienced and very durable who has a name like Areola or Adamek, I'm sure Joshua's experience sparring with Klitschko will have tested his chin and resolve but as with Price a loss can set these big fellas back mentally for years(I mean their confidence not make them mental). The money will come in eventually, all he has to do is keep winning.

keeping busy is a must but a definite grading up of durability(as you pointed out) is essential. his relatively short amateur career (relative to someone like klitschko with around 200 amateur bouts) only makes this process even more important and fighters like chisora/helenius/arreola should be coming up no earlier than another year at least. his progress so far has been astounding if you compare him to where lennox or wladimir were at 8 fights into their careers.....

.....but when that's said he's obviously a special talent so maybe i'm being a bit reserved.
lomachenko and beterbiev have achieved insane things after a handful of pro fights but both had ridiculously long and fruitful amateur careers
