Yeah, I thought about it...but, y'know, you add in the cost of a burger, a couple of drinks, maybe one of them big yellow foam finger things and I reckon you'd be lucky to see change out of £85,600...

Think I'll stick to the PPV and a few tinnies from the offie wink

Its getting exciting now as its nearer.

So lets have a bit of fun & say who & what the result will be, I'll kick off. The guy on 5 live this morning said Floyd on points but I am saying

MANNY by stoppage !

As long as the Ref is not Joe (love you Floyd)Cortez.

Interesting that Angel Heredia (Memo) is advising Ariza who is providing strength and conditioning now for Floyd. Especially since recent pictures show Floyd looking a lot more muscly (just like Marquez in his fourth fight with Pacquiao).

Floyd snr has his doubts as to the value Ariza is adding to the Mayweather camp.

He does have a way with words, doesn't he?! hehe

Not worried about Ariza.. it's Memo working with Ariza/providing him 'guidance' and then seeing Floyd's recent pics where he looks much more muscly like Hulquez Marquez in their fourth fight. Oh and Memo's recent prediction of a knockout victory for Floyd.

FMJ's father/trainer is quoted as saying "If he does know anything, it's some dirty st and it's something that nobody wants to use or hear about..." but you're not worried about Ariza?!

I have no idea about who may or may not be supplying what and to whom, but I completely share your overall concern and would say it is the most important issue boxing needs to address. It's one thing when sportsmen take PEDs to enable themselves run or swim faster or hit a baseball further or cycle at a greater intensity, etc, but when it unfairly enhances their ability to batter another human being, it's a whole different ball-game. I find it almost incomprehensible that pro boxing has apparently remained way behind other sports in this regard when it should really be at the forefront...

So are we saying come fight night that FM will be all juiced up and stronger than normal?

If so, is MP clean these days or do you think he will be getting geared up too?

I would be gutted if a clean MP got beaten by a juiced FM. Id rather them both be on an even level ie both clean or both juiced up.

I'm happy to believe Floyd has too much to lose by doing anything silly, but I'm a hopeless idealist.

Anyway for something different... I heard heard Buncey discussing this fight in his podcast, not one I'd seen before but it's got me going to the garage to hit the bag, rounds 8 and 9 are something else...

He prefers to fight in Vegas so he can have Xylocaine injected into his hands. As for doing anything 'silly', as Angel Heredia has testified, he can and has easily formulated 'stuff' which is undetected.

I am not saying Floyd is definitely doing anything untoward but his mere association with Angel Heredia (just as Marquez's in recent times) plus the sudden change in their physique at > 37 years of age is suspicious.

I desperately want manny to win. My main worry is that the outcome is already decided.

I just want to see the shock and Mayweathers expressions if he loses.

That would take the biscuit if Mayweather was caught taking crap, after all the noise about Manny having to take the Olympic test etc. The only thing makes me think otherwise is his father's comments, but who knows Mayweather had to be brought to this kicking & screaming over the past few years ?

Having said that yesterday I watched this ...he is very good,

Just hope Manny is on form! I think Hamed was lucky he lost to Barrera & missed Manny!

bit of a flat night for wlad on saturday....a win is a win though, i had him win 11 of 12 rounds with the point deduction round even at 9-9...

....i can't remember the last time he lost a round!!!

jennings did well with constant lateral movement and with his deceptively long reach( 4 inches longer than wlad's) he got a few through.

anyway, back to mayweather/pacquiao.....

here's the thing that strikes me. floyd likes to roll that lead left shoulder. everyone is saying the roll is useless against a southpaw but i don't agree. as a southpaw myself when sparring i try to shell up my lead right shoulder which blocks a hell of a lot of shots as long as both me and my orthodox opponent are both fighting to get the lead foot on the outside.

99.9% of southpaws employ this tactic but there are 2 pro's that do it a little different. both sergio martinez and manny pacquiao like to move to their left. now while i have my shoulder all tucked around my chin to block stuff coming from the rigth hand side it does reduce what i can do with my left. it's further back and restricted because of the lead shoulder.

floyd tucks up as an orthodox fighter in the same way.

so........manny goes to the left and sees that floyd is open because of the direction he's moving in. manny can let his very quick and hard straight lefts go while floyd can't throw his as quickly because of the shoulder tuck and roll style.

net result is that i think we'll be surprised at how often manny lands that straight left. floyd adjusts well but manny's unpredictable movement will give floyd hell.

fk it, i'm gonna go with manny, even if he has a lot more miles on the clock than floyd. pacquiao by stoppage late.
