Anyway a list of opponents I'd like to see Joshua fight:
Lucas Browne - Commonwealth HW Champ currently has 22 / 0 with 19 KOs
Tony Thompson - Let's see if Joshua is David Price MKII
Ruslan Chagaev - Small but only lost against Wlad and Povetkin.
Agree entirely.Lucas Browne - Commonwealth HW Champ currently has 22 / 0 with 19 KOs
Tony Thompson - Let's see if Joshua is David Price MKII
Ruslan Chagaev - Small but only lost against Wlad and Povetkin.
If he came through fights like that with decent wins, then he's legitimate top ranked and deserves a title shot, nothing wrong with the likes of Jennings, Stiverne and Pulev.
I think Once we get to Wilder, Povetkin and Wlad (even Fury?) that's when things will get serious.
Let him fight Whyte, if it's a score that needs settling and someone's mouth needs shutting (whoever it may be) then I'm all for it. He still needs to be taken seriously as a threat though, he's not a small guy.

Im one for taking it slow but after 12 fights he has to be fighting quality not quantity.
Would the next logical steps to be British, European and then World Champion?

Joshua has also been installed as WBC #2.
The WBC is a bit silly isn't it. Their webstite states Joshua and Int Champion (presume that is international) behind Wilder, the Champion and Klitchko, the "Emeritus Champion". They also note Chugaev, Pulez and Tyson Fury as unavailable to be ranked - presumably because they hold high ranks or mandatory positions in other associations or won't pay what it costs to be ranked by the WBC.I think Eddie Hearn is great and is doing great things for British boxing but if he's paid a big sum of money to get Joshua that ranking then frankly it's money wasted.

The blood on / from the ear looked worrying, so hope the guy is ok
To be honest, I can't remember the last time I saw a punch being wound up from so far back...but it was an absolute cracker! Just hope he can make a few quid off the back of it now.

Forgot to mention, had a (very) brief chat with Jim McDonnell coming home from the Brook-Gavin show. Really nice, genuine and humble guy - it was a pleasure to have met him.
Haven't got round to watching the Walters card yet but have seen the Heavyweight title fight. With all due respect to Molina, I think he was the least convincing challenger for the heavyweight title I've seen. He looked the sort of opponent the likes of Audley Harrison would routinely blow away...and yet he didn't look massively out of his depth against Wilder and really actually had an opportunity to pull off a massive upset. Frankly, if it had been any other heavyweight from Lucas Browne upwards in there, Wilder could have been in a whole heap of trouble...

Wilder worked his way to a title shot by fighting opponents who I'll politely call journeymen, he then beat stiverne for which he deserves credit but now he's the champion he's not going to be able to have such compliant opposition."After his beautiful four-knockdown, 9th round knockout victory over a game challenge Eric Molina (23-3, 17 KOs) last Saturday, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (34-0, 33 KOs) says he’s now ready for his #1 WBC mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin (29-1, 21 KOs) in what could be the 29-year-old Wilder’s next fight later this year.
“I’m looking forward to my first mandatory,” Wilder said after the fight last night at the Bartow Arena, in Birmingham, Alabama, USA."
What surprises me is the belief that Wilder fans have in his ability to beat Povetkin or any other top class heavyweight.

Turning that around, Price's record was of beating people such as Skelton, Audley Harrison and Sam Sexton. Are they really better than martin rogan and michael sprott?
I don't see any obvious difference in their records to say Price is a higher quality boxer. It's a big fight for them both and it could go either way. Price has power but if your his opponent you are going to be thinking if you plant one on his chin it's all over.
i was of the opinion that price's amateur credentials were far superior than that of teper but i must admit that while teper didn't medal at an olympic games he DID amass an incredible amateur record of :I don't see any obvious difference in their records to say Price is a higher quality boxer.
