Yeah, you disappoint us tuscaneer...

right, here is what i propose.

i intend to flagellate myself with the tow rope from the van. 140 lashes should do it.,.......actually, just to be on the safe side i shall don my hair shirt and hair underpants for 40 days and 40 nights.

and i'll probably stub some ciggies out on my face for good measure

bit weird but they never issued digital copies of your photo shoots....only physical photos. also, anybody trying to get a "freebee" photo on their phone was stopped by the security people........"you need to buy a photoshoot ticket. no phone photos".........must have heard that a few dozen times

I've got one of me and ricky burns I photographed in the car before I set off for home...

I'm pretty sure you guys don't need to see a picture of me with various fighters so that'll have to do for now!!

oh, and by the way, i must apologise for the high level of "fat edness" displayed by me.....in my defence i'm currently working 14 hour days and can only get down the gym for sparring once a week. roadwork has gone out of the window ....but i'm trying boys i really am!!

Unfortunately, I don't have any boxing-related photos of myself to share...but if I did - to my mind at least - I think it would look pretty much as per the below:

Thanks for working the corner that day, by the way... wink

Broner vs Porter this weekend. I'm actually thinking about getting up to watch it live as I've a feeling this will be a really good contest. It will certainly be interesting to see what effect the catch-weigh has on Porter and how Broner copes with Porter's pressure and aggression.

Also this weekend, Andre Ward returns against Paul Smith. I think this is a pretty good match-up for both men. You'd expect Ward to come through it but Smith has now proven he's not completely out of his depth at the world level and should offer enough opposition to knock a good amount of the rust off Ward. For Smith, if he can exceed a few people's expectations (bearing in mind Ward is a heavy favourite in the betting odds), he can return with his reputation enhanced and put himself in the frame for a fight or two domestically. Martin Murray would be an obvious choice, or possibly as a voluntary for DeGale's IBF belt (or even Groves if he should manage to win the WBC belt in August).

i'm wondering if porter has been "laceyed" by the loss to brook...... i don't recall being impressed by his last outing to a no name opponent...

broner looks to have been less affected by his loss to maidana but has had a few fights since to get back on the horse..

it's a fight i need to see for sure.

ring rust or not i've got a feeling that ward will be far too much for any version of paul smith...

I'm thinking that Broner beats Porter.

I don't understand why Porter agreed to it being a catch weight fight. Why give Broner a big edge?

"Porter began his career at 165 and 144 will be the lowest weight of his career, which he achieved against Anges Adjaho more than four years ago."

Speaking of weight, just seen Paul Smith came in 4lbs+ over the catchweight limit for the Ward fight, which itself was 4lbs above the Super-Middleweight limit!!!! Either Smith has been hitting the Taco Bells since arriving in the States or he's deliberately decided that as there is no belt on the line, to hell with the limit (and 20% of his purse) and he was going to build himself what they describe in the last Rocky film as 'some hurtin' bombs'!

Would love to know the truth behind that...over 4lbs just seems too big to have been accidental. Man, that's nearly 10lbs more than he weighed in for his last fight against Abraham!!!

fking crazy......he wasn't a big middleweight never mind super middle.....that's just too much .

I think he's intending to go at ward st or bust.....but ward is too crafty on the inside. I fear a bit of a beating coming smiggas way...hope I'm wrong

Del Boy is fighting Ustinov in July. Considering the problems he's had fighting bigger opponents in the past I don't think a 6 ft 8 in Russian who has only been defeated by Pulev is an ideal fight.

He's going to find himself stuck on the end of a jab all night. If he couldn't workout how to deal with Tyson Fury I don't think he's going to do well here.

I agree he didn't perform well against Fury, but in fairness he was able to deal okay with a height disadvantage against both Klitschko (although Vitali was also carrying an injury) and Helenius; primarily by keeping compact and using the Joe Frazier 'bob 'n' weave' approach, which meant both were having to punch downwards and at a moving target - not especially comfortable for most fighters to do. However, the other thing he had in those fights was confidence; something he just didn't seem to have against Fury, either in the fight or the build-up...and now I come to think of it, might also have been the reason he came in so heavy for their first contest as well.

If Chisora's head isn't right and he's lacking that self-belief, then yes, it could be a long night for him...

Bit shocked to see Smith over the limit, interesting to hear why. Good to see Ward back in action

It's a funny old game but Smith planted plenty on Abraham over 24 rounds and was never really in threat of beating him (although the first fight was close) I can't see ward really being troubled. But lets hope!
