good god!!!! i've just found out that audley has been sparring deontay wilder and malik scott for his upcoming go at david price!!!
that's some gold sparring right there!
This could be interesting you know! If he's really )in his head) up for it and has prepared well for a do or die last shot he has got the tools. Mind set could be the key here. When Price hits him it could all go out the window either by him freezing/going back to his safety first approach or just plain getting sparked.that's some gold sparring right there!
But, he might use the jab and knock up points by keeping out of danger (he'll have to be on his absolute A game for that though) and if he lands he could possibly hurt Price as he can punch.
I'm quite nervous about this tbh as I don't want to see the wheels come off David's rise.

i thought this before he fought haye but this time i'm pretty convinced price wipes the floor with him in brutal and quick timeBut, he might use the jab and knock up points by keeping out of danger (he'll have to be on his absolute A game for that though) and if he lands he could possibly hurt Price as he can punch.

Well, fair play to Harrison for taking his preparation seriously. Still think he'll be in trouble once the headguard comes off though...!
For those who like a bit of nostalgia and have a few minutes to spare, these articles are well worth a read - there's footage of the action too, which is an excellent touch. Enjoy!

Anyone see Ringside yesterday.
Hatton looked very slim - must have lost at least 2 or 3 stone so hopefully has given himself time to prepare properly.
And what a coup to get Brook and Khan on the same bench? The polite facade didn't last once the sparring was mentioned!
Still annoyed that Khan can't help suggesting blame on Roach even when it's seemingly subtle and in passing - like yesterday with the stuff about how Hunter has something different and can work on hos defence. As if Roach didn't try to get him to box and avoid the reckless attacks and wars that have got him chinned. If you haven't got a defence after all those years as an amateur and pro look to your bloody self.

Maybe just a tiny bit off a topic but watched Ali against Frasier the thrilla in manilla What happened to the likes of smoking joe and all the decent heavy weights. ken norton ,ernie shavers and above all Larry Holmes
decent heavyweights of that era??they're all old or dead!in this era, outside of the klitschkos there are still plenty of good guys,it's just that(lke in any era of total dominance)people perceive a weak era because of the dominance of said champs.it was said when louis was champ,dempsey,sullivan.......right the way back to the likes of broughton in the 1700's.
google guys like boytsov, pulev et al....they're here, they're good ....it's either that they are only just emerging or have lost to one of the brothers.no shame in losing to one of the two most dominant heavyweights in the history of the sport.
on a separate note......i met mike tyson and tim witherspoon yesterday.highlight of the night was tim getting hungry in the hotel bar whilst talking boxing with us and my pal getting a local kebab house to deliver him a chicken kebab and chips!!
tim was duly impressed!!

HAHA!! seriously though,he looks in good nick!he was pissed as a fart and the chicken kebab was hoovered up in the manner and traditions of a true english pisshead.quite a feat for a yank !!.when i shook his hand it was like shaking hands with a fistfull of cocks!hands like shovels mate.tyson had a big old vice like grip as well mind but the freakiest huge handed bonecrunching shake i ever got was off earnie shavers a few ears ago.i'm not joking, the biggest shovel hands i've ever seen

interesting interview with david price in the boxing monhly.he has pretty much sparred everyone as a klitschko clone but rates pulev as the best of the bunch.states that in some spars he got the better of it but on other days pulev was edging things.nice refreshing honesty and a pro match up i'd love to see as well!

When I read that headline "david-price-without-question-audley-is-the-best-i-ve-faced-in-the-pros" I thought no way, he's taking the piss, he must have fought better, surely he doesn't believe that but then I looked at his record he's probably right, which makes me think I might have built him up to be something in my mind he really isn't, I had him down as a world title contender now!
I watched the Thriller in Manilla in a documentary last night (5 part Ali thing on BBC4 - sure it's a repeat) it is unbelievable just how hard both those men were hitting each other in those conditions, over and over again and neither of them really ever looking like going down, dying on their feet yes but not going down. And I'm thinking these modern day heavyweights just don't know their born.
