Klitschko pulev fight postponed with wladimir sustaining a bicep tear in sparring this morning. To say I'm fking gutted is an understatement having dropped a few grand on tickets flights and hotel!!! I just hope I can reschedule everything at minimal cost. The fight looks like it will be put back about six weeks but looking on the o2 world website there are only three available Saturdays in the whole of October and November. .....

Sick as a dog mate!! The klitschko curse continues to haunt me. Vitali versus rahman in vegas.wladimir on the lennox/ botha under ard in London. ....I've missed out half a dozen times now. I just hope it's rescheduled for a weekend I haven't got other commitments I can't get out of. Mind you nothings more important than a heavyweight title fight!

Video ref to be used in boxing?! My initial reaction was WTF but, on reflection, it might not be so bad; boxing has the advantage of having breaks every three minutes, so as long as it is primarily used in such a way as not to disrupt the fight 'in progress', then it might actually work (although there does appear to be the proviso for it to be used 'mid-round' if necessary). It'll be interesting to see how it operates in practice.

That said, I'd rather those sanctioning bodies prioritised getting a consistent, comprehensive drugs testing regime established in the sport...

Interesting - judging by the size of his Mrs, I'd have said she'd have been due to drop around that time!

Not that I show an interest in that sort of celebrity lifestyle guff you understand...this isn't 'Loose Women' you know!

Curious...Froch making some positive noises about a fight with DeGale. Presumably his US options aren't looking too promising; either that or negotiations with one of the prospective parties have reached a delicate stage and he's looking to apply a bit of pressure!

Intriguing fight. I thought Frampton handled Martinez relatively comfortably in their first fight; it will be interesting to see whether, as world champion, he's a different proposition this time around...

All of the prospective fights mentioned here we've known about for a while...but reading the article brought it home to me just how strong UK boxing is at the moment. Following the success of Froch-Groves, four huge domestic match-ups potentially coming over the next few months...plus Fury vs Chisora should attract a bit of interest too (assuming the fight does eventually go ahead). Exciting times...!
