I honestly feel Eubank Jnr will make Saunders look very ordinary....within 5 rounds.
I can't see Eubank being 'that' much better than BJS, but you never know, levels have to be found and the only way to find out where you are is to fight people considered better than you.

Worth noting Saunders is a southpaw and I think that may cause Eubank a few issues in the early rounds.

It's tough to call really.

It all comes down to this for me. Eubank Jr looks better in his fights but BJS has fought far tougher guys and is more experienced in the ring.

Maybe Eubank Jr will look ordinary now he is facing a better fighter or maybe all the sparring stories we hear about Eubank Jr are genuine and that he really is the real deal.

It's not a fight I'd like to put money on but it is a fight I'm looking forward to. My hunch is that Eubank Jr starts very tentatively and looks uncomfortable for the first 3 rounds before settling into a rhythm and outworking BJS. But, it's just a hunch and I am probably way off the mark.

I'm with BJS. His record is much better than Eubank jnr, that I can't come up with a logical reason to predict Eubank win.

I'm just so sold on a Eubank Jnr win, a comfortable win. His pedigree is pretty decent, his schooling in the US isn't to be sniffed at.

I'm off to check the odds....

BJS is a traveler boy, rough as they come, thrown into skips to fight from the age of 3. Eubank Jnr is a posh boy born to a millionaire and privilege from Brighton.

Who's the hardest?

There's only one way to find out...

FIGHT!

(I think it's got rematch written all over it)

Odds are (were) close, slightly in favour of BJS if anything.

With a quick google BJS amateur record, 86 amateur contests and lost just six. Forty-nine of them were internationals – just three defeats

Eubank Jnr's amateur record is 10 fights in America, 9 wins and a loss.

BJS looks to my eye to have a much superior amateur background and has fought a higher class of opponent in the professional environment.

Eubank may have an edge on power but I don't think either of them are huge hitters, so I'm going for a points win for BJS.

Dunno, just gotta feeling that BJS gonna expose Eubank. He has a much more superior amateur background too.

Bernard Hopkins v Sergey Kovalev just over a week away. Looking forwards to that. Bernard Hopkins 49 years old.

Flabbergasting when you look at the guy, even for an alien. Unreal, I remember when Calzaghe fought him people were having a go at Joe, saying Hopkins was passed his best - maybe the best is still to come?

In hindsight, it's looking more and more that Hopkins was the biggest win (although not necessarily best performance) of Calzaghe's career. When he took those last two fights - Hopkins and RJJ - I could completely understand the 'legacy' angle. He had the '0', he had the domination of the division, he had the memorable performances (esp. Lacey) and he had the massive shows (namely the Millennium stadium) but what he was missing were the biggest names (and there was also that thing about him being 'Stay-at-home Joe'). I seriously doubt Joe thought that one of those fights would actually end up being arguably his most credible conquest.

In a way, that's why I'm slightly underwhelmed by Carl Froch's pursuit of Chavez jr as his farewell opponent. Don't get me wrong, I 100% get it from a business perspective - it will net Froch big bucks and for limited risk; it's just that I don't think it adds anything to his legacy. Taking calculated fights (for want of a better description) is just not what his career has been about. Like I say, I don't begrudge him the opportunity of sending himself into retirement with a few extra million in the bank account, some nice memories of fighting in Vegas - he more than anyone has deserved that. I guess it is just the romanticist in me was hoping for Froch to go out with something a little more...I don't know...definitive?

I know what you mean, ideally you want to see him take on Ward to fulfil the legacy and retire having beaten everyone you've faced. Sadly, Ward isn't an attraction to anyone and it makes no sense financially for Froch to fight him, no reward for the risk.

Cotto and GGG would be a good payday and nice on the opponents faced list, but there's no way he could boil down to 160 and those two would be tiny at SM.

Moving up to face BHop? Joe did it.

Don't get why Ward doesn't attract. His a fantastic boxer, but his a bit of a forgotten man.

Probably because he won't fight outside his home town and that he is stuck in a slave contract?

No-one from 168 to 175 will want to fight him either as he will just throughly outbox them. He represents a huge risk for practically zero reward.

Just seen Frankie Gaving is fighting on the Fury/Chisora bill.
I seem to remember Bradley Skeete being a decent, lanky, and awkward fighter.

Predictions for that?
