Khan is saying that Mayweather is going with Berto for his final fight on the 12th September.

Poor choice of an opponent but guess he wants to finish his career with a easy win.

Brook vs Rios seems to have broken down and having seen Thurman's below par performance, Kell is actually calling him out. I think it'll be cracking fight if they can make it happen.

i love 'em both......but calzaghe was better. froch was harder, no doubt but joe didn't ever NEED to be that hard. carl won impressively against taylor.......after being out boxed for the entire fight. calzaghe was never out boxed.

Watching Hagler v Hearns on YouTube, way before my time, but what a fight, even if it was 'only' just over 2 rounds. Them 2 rounds had more action, thrill and excitement than 12 rounds of Paqman-Mayweather rolleyes

Castillo v Corrales round 10 is one of my favourites, and Ward v Gatti round 9.

Will do.

I'll add Felix Trinidad vs Fernando Vargas to my list too. Someone shared it on Facebook, great fight.

You've never heard of Berto..? I would have assumed that even casual fans would have heard of him. Guess not.

Anyway I hope Mayweather doesn't fight him. Sure, he's in the twilight years of his career but a talent like his are few and far between so I'd like to see him take challenges in these last two fights rather than take the easy option.

A mistake by Mayweather I think, he'd have a harder time taking on his missus again - just when you start finding it your heart to think about liking the guy... Andre Berto will last the 12 rounds in the biggest over-hyped snooze fest in boxing history, this has Al Haymon's hand all over it, showing us he might not be the white night saviour of world boxing after all.

Will this be his last fight though?

Amir check out John 'The beast' Mugabi!

Mughabi was a light- middleweight who stepped up to Middle to face Hagler( the all time middleweight great) & imo did a pretty good job... for 11 rounds, a gruelling fight, sadly ,like a lot of Boxers he went on to long & became cannon fodder for up coming fighters ,notably one bomber Gerald McCellan !

i'm absolutely convinced of the outcome in my own mind but i'm surprised EVERYONE other than kalle saurland is pretty much of the same opinion!!

after being chastised ruthlessly by you fkers for failing to keep you informed of all the knowledge gained , and at the risk of hot needles being stuck under my fingernails for my transgressions ........................

don't forget david price fights erkan tepur TONIGHT on boxnation.

I have followed both Froch and Calzaghe careers closely and a huge fan of both, it would be an extremely close fight.

Enzo always dismissed Froch after Joe retired, several years later after Froch progressed I watched an interview around three years ago with Enzo, he was asked the question who would win both at their peek, his reply was surprisingly "50/50".
That has stuck with me, if anyone in the know it would be Enzo, some days I think either would win.
If on the 'cobbles' though Froch wins hands down, boxing gloves are a hinderence to Froch!

Didn't realize how much of a size advantage Price has. He shouldn't have too much of a problem (just don't let him hit your chin).

The finishing punch was well-timed, no doubt about it, but when it landed, Price was moving backwards lifting his chin, his right hand was across his chest and his left was below his belt-line. Even with a Froch-esque chin, you're asking for trouble...

Absolutely gutted for Price. A genuinely decent guy and with no shortage of ability, but despite winning four on the bounce post-Thomson, he seemed to have next to no confidence once the fight started...and now he'll have a proper KO on his mind to contend with. Really not sure if there's any path back for him... frown
