Looking forward to the Hawks embarrassing the Cowboys in their house this Sunday!

We have a hell of a schedule this year but I think we will win NFC West and meet GB at Lambeau at some point.

Miami scored 41 points in a half against J J Watt and the Texans Sunday but last night just 7 in the whole game against the young Patriot D. Patriots put the revived 'phins away with ease, a great all round performance by the best team in the league led by the greatest QB of all time.

As of recent times, the Pats very strong at home. Dolphins D did well at first but can only hold on so long when the offence is not joining in the fun and games.

The Raiders vs Jets is as always going to be a good game I think, Raiders are tough in all three phases, Cooper is particularly fun to watch, but not too many points from him I hope..

Good to see Cinci on sky too, some Steeler kicking no doubt.

Genuine question and I'm not taking the piss...

Does it not suck to support such a cheating organisation? I respect their (best in the league) coach and Tom Brady is without a doubt the best QB in the league but I'd struggle to support a team that has a permanent asterix next to their name.

No doubt they'll go 18-1 this season smile

So i see the BBC couldn't be bothered to give todays Lions v Chiefs game the treatment it deserves. Only on the red button, and they don't even seem to have people there? it's just a studio set?

No because they're not. Spygate was laughable, all teams were stealing signals in one way or another. One of the high priests of the art was Howard Mudd, who at the time of Spygate was employed by the sanctimonious Indianapolis Colts. But the Patriots had won 3 Superbowls in 4 years in a league that was supposed to be set up to prevent dynasty's and that was a problem. Add in a big mix of jealousy and a dose of scapegoating and you have Spygate.

Deflategate isn't even worth discussing, there's so much that's contradictory about it and it was so bungled by the NFL that anything they say or do on the subject is risible. The only thing the Pats did wrong was be the best team in the league and pay the fine. Bob Kraft paid it because he thought it would be in the best interests of the league to do so and that it would save Brady from having to be dragged through the process. In hindsight he should have told Goodell to shove the Wells report up his ass. Kraft is one of the most honourable and respected owners in the league and a great philanthropist, not to mention self made. The comparison with certain other owners doesn't bear comparison.

Wasn't the BBC agreement to only show 2 of the 3 Wembley games on a mainstream channel and the 3rd on the red button?

BBC2 was also already tied to showing the complete live coverage of the Gymnastics World Championships throughout this week so it was always likely this game would be on the red button. Considering the cost issues C4 had when it came to broadcasting SNF I imagine it cost a lot more to run a live studio at Wembley, compared to a studio feed, especially as the rights to the Gymnastics were probably more to buy compared to a streamed US sports feed.

This weekends game was broadcast by Fox NFL, whereas the last 2 have been with different affiliates (NBC / CBS) and as Fox NFL have always been the games shown exclusively on Sky Sports, I imagine Sky may have only allowed the BBC a live stream with lesser coverage to prevent eating into their own live coverage.

Another factor for lesser coverage could have also been decided a few weeks back as both teams playing have been running consistent back to back losing streaks so may not have been seen as likely to generate a big enough audience draw.

On a side note, hopefully BBC will get Osi back for the Superbowl coverage as he and Mike make for a great banter partnership smile

Don't feed the Cheatriot troll.

Bengals at Steelers was pretty gruesome, but it's a tough division (unlike AFC East, for example) with a lot of needle. Still, a win's a win.
I'll be at Paul Brown Stadium on Thursday evening, so I hope I don't jinx them.

Who Dey? Not Pittsburg.

Saints vs Giants was a cracking game to watch, don't like either team especially but if you like offense it was a scream.

Glad to see the scumbag steelers get turned over by the Bengals, not a great game for either.
Sea chickens and Cowgirls, meh. Both pretty awful.

Hoping the Packers can beat the Broncos, should be a good one if Peyton keeps throwing those INTs.

I'm not quite sure how the Broncos are up there.

Did you hear the stat that special teams and defense has more points than the offence?! Manning also has more INT's than TD's so far. The above is not the best combo to win things.
Broncos winning despite Manning. Some of these unbeaten teams are flattering to deceive. I felt that about Atlanta and they took a hiding on Thu. I believe the same of Cinci, Carolina and the Broncos. I think all 3 will fade as the season goes on.
Well don't we both look silly!

Still, a long way to go in the season but Denver put down a marker last night.

I'm not sure that was actually due to them playing well though. Just that the opposition seemed to play worse.

A win is a win though. But there seemed to be lots and lots of errors and sloppy play.

A tough division? Who tough? The 2-6 Ravens or the 2-6 Browns? rofl

Apart from the AFC South the North is the weakest division in football. Keep drinking the Kool-aid Matt but sooner or later the Bengals will play an elite team and it'll all come crashing down. Although your schedule is so soft that you only play 2 decent teams all season, Arizona and Denver.

Been a long time since I got that cheesed off (pun intended) at the Packers as I did last night, but having no receivers will do that to a team I guess. Still looked awful rusty considering they were coming off a bye week though. Broncos basically played the exact same set of plays that the Rams did, but not being a terrible team it tore our D apart.

Figures that the one night Manning's noodle arm was needed it never really appeared too.

Ho-hum, it's not the end of the world, hopefully the injured list will start becoming the active list again soon and we'll be back on our way to crushing NFC North again.

AFC North and East are both pretty weak divisions this year BTW tongue out

I'll happily and gratefully accept that this season the Bengals outclass their AFC North competition - this season. Historically the divn has been tough as nails. In comparison AFC East has been a joke for years.

Yes, it was pretty bleak. I'm worried as while there is a loss of receivers, the drop in quality seems greater than the sum of its lost parts. Randall Cobb was brilliant last year but has done very little so far, and Davante Adams, despite injury, just hasn't taken off as I had hoped. Without James Jones it would not be looking that good.

The D is miles better than I had hoped though which is brilliant and has definitely keps us in the race.

Also in the news: Go Go Gabbert Arm! hehe There is so much wrong with SF this year.

Another Ravens win...finally. Sadly Smith Sr. is done for the season with a torn Achilles. And probably done full stop as he was planning on retiring at the end of the season. I would agree with the previous posters that the AFC north has been weak this year, its normally a hard fought contest in the divisional games. The Bengals will take it easily this year, it would take a really odd chain of events to give Baltimore, Cleveland of Pittsburgh the divisional win.

It’s going to be interesting to see what happens to the international games as the NFL UK site states that three games are going to be played at Twickenham next year (despite the extension to 2020 with Wembley and in 2018 at Tottenham’s new ground. Be nice if they brought one a bit further north (Old Trafford for example) rather than keeping them in the Greater London area.

Where was the fan rally for the Lions at Chiefs game? I wouldn’t have been there but it’s out of curiosity (nothing on the web about it) more than anything else.

Not really an NFL follower but I notice that Twickenham Stadium will now host a minimum of three games, that's in addition to those at Wembley and the new Spurs stadium.

I think it's very forward thinking of the games administrators and can see a London franchise being granted in the not too distant.
