Not really an NFL follower but I notice that Twickenham Stadium will now host a minimum of three games, that's in addition to those at Wembley and the new Spurs stadium.
I think it's very forward thinking of the games administrators and can see a London franchise being granted in the not too distant.
Not far off until there is a London franchise, London Jaguars perhaps? I think it's very forward thinking of the games administrators and can see a London franchise being granted in the not too distant.
Would be good if they could hold games further north to improve accessibility for northern based fans.

It’s going to be interesting to see what happens to the international games as the NFL UK site states that three games are going to be played at Twickenham next year (despite the extension to 2020 with Wembley and in 2018 at Tottenham’s new ground.
I reckon someone may have put the wrong information up originally as the coverage on the news (London Tonight) this evening mentioned the deal was for 3 games over a 3 year period starting next year (2016, 17 & 18).I reckon the next 2 years they'll run the usual 2 games at Wembley with the 3rd one at Twickenham, and by 2018, when the Spurs deal kicks in, there will be 1 game at Wembley, 1 at Spurs and the final Twickenham game.

Hopefully there won't be a franchise here, it would be pretty daft.
If it was to be an expansion team, I'd be inclined to agree as the talent available through an expansion draft would be limited - meaning the results in the first 2-3 seasons would kill attendances, as any franchise would have to be competitive. I'd guess any franchise might be a team relocating. In terms of support, any franchise will be a 2nd team for a lot of established fans but the work that's already been put in to generate a fan base for the Jags over here shows what can be done. What will knock attendance will be the fact that a trip to a game in London has been a one-off for a lot of people rather than all three games at present - I wasn't planning to go to all three, but was picking up cheap tickets before each game.
Logistically, I doubt any team would be based 100% in London anyway and would have an office and hire facilities during the season. What you would be more likely to see IMHO would be a team with a base on the East Coast, traveling over in advance of games.

It's going to happen, Goodell wants it and greedy owners want more TV revenue which they think they will get with a European franchise. London Jaguars is the best bet. The Jags are poorly supported in Florida and Khan already owns Fulham so it's a natural fit. The plan would be for them to play the first 8 games in London then decamp to somewhere over here to play all their away games. My guess would be by 2020.unrepentant said:

I though that Khan had been investing heavily in Jacksonville so why do that if the team is going to move?
Would the Titans, Texans and Colts be happy with having to fly over every year to play a divisional game?

I still don't think it will happen though. The cost to fly back and forth across the Atlantic, and the pressure on the players with timezone and jet lag must be a nightmare.
Time zone might be more difficult for west coast based teams, but I don't see a massive difference when you consider that teams already travel between the likes of Miami and Seattle, or San Diego to Boston depending on schedule. It's pretty certain it's something the NFL will be looking at with the IS games

not sure if anyone else has noticed but Pick (tv channel) seem to be showing 1 game a week on sunday live
Ah bugger - I didn't realise that Sky were running a free to air game, like they did on the opening week, this weekend otherwise I'd have watched it I know it's Fox / Sky coverage but at least it was a live game Edit - Just checked and it was listed as Panthers vs Packers from 5.30 to 9.15. Although it looks like it was just another Sky Sports teaser, like the opening week, as next week Pick is back to the usual schedule of repeats of Airport baggage cops, etc.
Packers vs Panthers was a great game to watch. Thought Green Bay would get the TD at the end and take it into overtime but Carolina deserved to take the win.
With the Bronco's also struggling, hard to see past one of the following Bengals, Panthers and Pats for the Superbowl.
My team Giants just ahead of the Eagles for the div title.

Very very jealous, long time Bengals fan here. And how's this for a coincidence, I have a 2009 Bengals Jersey, my mate bought it for my birthday and had Fisher and 74 put on the back (name & birth-years obvs.) In 2002 I had a son, called him Jake... So yeah I have a Fisher 74 shirt the pre-dates us signing the current OL who shares a name with my son.
