Hatred does nothing other than burn those that are holding it.

Not when it's directed towards the Jets. Then it's a healthy, wonderful thing.

Pats / Giants was a real nail biter. Great result but very bad news about Julian Edelman.

rage Regretting my earlier post now. TBH, the Packers deserved to lose, they've been crap the last three games.

Really impressed with the Ravens commitment to losing this year - losing a game that they were winning when it ended is quite special!

banghead

On the bright side they have gone from Superbowl winners, to mediocre to really bad. The only way is up...hopefully.

I couldn't believe it when I saw that penalty, one thing to run into somebody when you can't stop your own momentum another entirely to grab a facemask and give up 15 yards and a free play, wonder if Dumervil will be benched next week.

In reality, this is why I fear the Patriots. The set-up for that last field goal was surgical - it was inevitable that they would score. bds.

Well the Giants came within a min of ending the Pats winning streak. Would have been great to get a bit more breathing space at the top of the Div especially as Cowboys and Eagles losing.

I wouldn't worry about the Pats Matt. If you can't beat or even score a TD against the Texans without their QB I don't think you'll be required to visit Foxborough this season. wink

Any given Sunday, the worst can beat the best. Its what makes it interesting.

That sounds good but it's not really true though. Take our division, the AFC East. The Patriots have won it 11 times in 12 years, soon to be 12 in 13. The only time they didn't win it in that span was in 08 when the HOF GOAT QB went down in week 1 and Matt Cassel took over. They still went 11 and 5 but by some freak Miami won the division. Apart from the last game of last season, when the Pats already had the playoff spot locked down and rested everyone, they are have won something like 18 straight at home against the AFC East (and most of the away games).

Any given Sunday is supposed to work given the draft and cap but in the Belichick era it hasn't. One team is not supposed to have been to 6 Super Bowls in 14 years and totally dominated their division for over a decade. It's why the Pats are hated, they're too good.

Oh well. Offer a compliment, receive an insult - what else would you expect from a Cheatriots fan?

Still, half a season remains and will go one of two ways for the Bengals - right back on the horse, or go to pieces when it counts - the pain of supporting a schizophrenic team.

As for Tom Shady and the Cheats, there's many a slip 'twixt cup and lip, even when you get a free-ride every year.

It's a pity we won't meet this year, always good for some friendly badinage. smile

Your division is so weak this year that you'll win it and get a home playoff game. If you can beat the Jets or maybe the Bills you may get to the promised land and a game in Foxborough after all.

I'm trying to remember the result when we met last year in NE? I remember you came into the game unbeaten and it ended 43-17 but I can't remember who won. scratchchin

Oh hang on, I just remembered. biggrin

That was then matey boy.

If last night's melt-down (Eifert lost us the game and he's my new hero FFS) doesn't turn into a full-blown disintegration (I know it could, but I'm staying positive), we could end up against the Cheatriots in the play-offs.

If so, we can really start the smack-talk.

I'm up in Indian-no-place a lot these days - are you still at Tom Wood? I might pay you a visit and piss in your coffee....
