If anyone has 3 rams tickets they need to move on for a reasonable price please feel free to pm me. I know its a massive longshot especially given the prices they are up for sale at, £160 each for up in the gods!
Other than that go Seahawks (although in my heart i suspect we may be going back to a win a year against St.Louis)
You looked on stubhub and seatwave? Im in the market for 2 as well. Might try and see if I can grab some tickets handed back from the teams they dont need. Other than that go Seahawks (although in my heart i suspect we may be going back to a win a year against St.Louis)
Hey guys, I'm not really an American football fan but I have just finished watching a 5 part documentary on Netflix called "Last Chance U"
Its really good as an insight to a college football team in Mississippi of players who want to make it to the next step. Thought I would share it with you gentlemen. enjoy

Thanks Sammy Boy. Will take a look. Another good series is called Hard Knock based on Sky Sports and looks at a teams training camp and then the process of cutting down the roster.
Great games in Week 1, and some fantastic finishes. Chuffed the Giants managed to nick a win against the Cowboys as well. Managed to watch the first half and Cowboys where dominate, didn't think we could get anything out of the game.

alot of close games this week - I wonder if my team the 49ers can put last season behind them and get back to two years ago...
The biggest frustration in nfl for me is the length of the season...why so short....feels like its almost over before it begins....
Potentially there are 25 games which a player could play in. The biggest frustration in nfl for me is the length of the season...why so short....feels like its almost over before it begins....
4 Pre-Season
16 Regular Season
3 Play-Off's
1 Super Bowl
1 Pro-Bowl
Also then training camps often start in July so the season is around 7months in total. Compared to basketball or MLB they play a handful of games but the physicality of the game, amount of injuries happening then I think a longer season is not possible.
Really got into NFL last year after spending a few months in Houston, so follow the Texans.
If you have access to Sky Sports catch up, there was a brilliant documentary called NFL Undiscovered on last week that followed some Europeans who had gone to a NFL finishing school after being talent spotted - it followed them through the training and tests and also showed them having trials with some of the teams.
The German guy who ended up getting drafted by the Vikings was an absolute machine. It turns out both he and the French guy are not in the full roster, but they still have a chance in the future. The fate of the British guy was really sad though. The Americans are fascinated by it all as they have never had players who haven't come through the College system.

I had left it late last year, and think I bought tickets for two games on EBay and the other on Viagogo - all less than face value. You can normally spot the touts, or those who just can't go..

I watch NFL off and on, to do a bit more research I've been watching the NFL Hard Knocks series, seems a pretty cut throat process to get into the starting roster.
What puzzled me, was if a guy gets cut, doesn't make the practice squad or picked up by another team, how does he go about improving for next season? As far as i understand there isn't a second tier competition to drop back into to improve in. Are these guys left for a year looking for alternative employment and trying to train and improve in their free time?

I think people either try to continue to complete for practices squads as these can be adjusted during the season. Or there is a CFL (Canadian Football League) which alot of people do play for. I think the vast majority of players that don't make it end up becoming regular people having to get jobs outside of football and lead a normal life. http://blog.masslive.com/patriots/2016/08/nfl_rost...
