welcome back me old mucker, have to agree there although Horlics and Digestive are still more than adequate for this aged Pom.

Daily Telegraph today, still utterences of a Warne comeback....oh dear! is the cupboard really so bear?
Would he really consider being associated with the current crop and tarnish a great career?
Not sure I could see him bowling long spells anymore.

I would say 68 months puts me well beyond Newbie stage. But, then again, you Crims are not too hot on big numbers wink

No but the money he could make on weather reports and pitch conditions for certain gentleman in another continent would sure come in handy ....

What happened to that Stuart Clark geezer? He used to bowl reasonably well, certainly better than the pie launching, buffet serving, half paced, none for a 100, eat your own st complete dross that is currently on offer.

The pro Aussie cricketer on here has gone missing too , Perhaps punter's pleading with him to play

Apparently playing his last season of high level cricket, but should be or should have been in the frame for selection.

Also had a few niggles already this season which wouldn't have helped his cause.

It's most amusing that so far the only thing the Aussies have got right is the branding for the Ashes. Something about history being made.... hehe

traditionally the WACA is where you can bowl just short of a yorker length ball and it still whizzes past the batsmen's scone! lots of bounce & pace so if we can find ANY bowlers that are prepared and able to dish it up it should be fun.

I reckon young Finn is going to love this wicket. Has he ever played n Oz during his junior/club days or will this be his 1st time at the WACA?

Well according to HSV's old mate FIGJAM, the WACA ain't the fast track it always used to be and is just nice to bat on nowe - even paced, nowhere near as bouncy ...

Heading for 2-0 and series over I reckon. Is Warne really coming back - not with Punter as skipper - I can't see it.

yes it's true the WACA isn't what it once was, but it is still the most pace friendly strip and will aide any bowler prepared to bend his back and offer bounce. Bringing back the tattoo ridden gaylord is a last ditch attempt by the cons and will be the major 'make or break' of the series. Personally i cant see the grounstaff making a bowler friendly strip as our bowling attack certainly has the upper hand and our batsmen show current form too.

Sounds like a Tremlett wicket then......He needs to toughen up a bit though, bit too soft for my liking. Still he bowled well against your 'A' side..
