Lotus Esprit S3 Turbo prices?

How does this compare to the UK market for these cars?
This car ran through the Mecum Auction in April this year in Kansas. I was prepared to bid, but it ran too rich for me selling at about $30,000 US, (20k GBP?)

It had been in a collection for maybe 10-20 years and occassionally started. Apparently it had a small crack in the windscreen. No service history really to go on, cam belt change etc, brakes.
These guys a bit optimistic with the price?

I have seen similar low mileage S3 Turbo Esprits for sale at Paul Matty's place for about the same price (and higher) so this one (which looks totally dead on original) went through the auction for about the right money.
This looks to be nigh on perfect right down to the original tag on the spare tyre, which is stuff you just don't get to see on Esprits that have some miles on them.
Time warp car that, I have a lot more money in my restored '83 BTW, so these original cars are pretty desirable IMO.
