The car was running fine but after sitting for only a week now barely starts and when it does it idles between 200 and 400rpm, reeks of fuel and stalls. Any throttle input stalls the engine and the plugs are coated with fuel.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated smile

Cheers,

Dunc.

Stuck float(s) in the carbs I would reckon. Are there any leaks from the carbs? Give them a gentle tap and that usually does the trick. Check the choke mechs aren't stuck too.
Daft idea, but has anything got stuck in the air intake?

Not likely to be carbs unless he's replaced the fuel injection system !!
