Just looked on their website and have notices the "Young Persons" ticket for ages 13-21 which is half price! Since its the last year I will be eligible for a cheapy ticket, I think I might go again this year! I went the year before and it was amazing! Ideally need more than one day to see everything, but not all of us have multiple directorships or powerfully built to mug people with your goatee, so can't afford it!

Ive been going for 12 years now. Thursday is a waste of space, most of the good cars were under covers, hardly any bikes. The moving motorshow is on this day, but if you want to drive a focus\alfa\civic, then book a test drive at your local garage. Friday is when it all gets going. Get over into the paddocks either early or late, as during the day things get hectic. Loads to see, perhaps more than a days worth. It it has to be the best event of its type in the world.

We went 2 years ago and its the best event on the calendar , and i went to the Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi this year.
All i can say is , its petrol head nirvana.
I should have got poor old Murray Walker to sign something , he looked all alone in his signing tent!

Can't think of any real "Don't" items, it is a great show. I only went one day last year, would only get grandstand tickets if I could go for two days and have grandstand for one day and just walk around the other day. Don't: walk about waving your cock at everyone

Do they have somewhere specific to park bikes at Goodwood?
Only I wouldn't fancy where I was last year on my bike.

Excellent event, although I'm not sure there's enough there to cover 4 days worth of attendance!! You can see it all in a day, but it's a rush - 2 would be perfect IMO.
I love the trade stands as much as anything else there, always some interesting Petrolhead goodies around.
Last year I did the MMS on the Thursday, was first up the hill in an Audi R8 which was nice.

Hopefully it'll still be going when I'm too old to play Yes, mid-late September...20th or so usually so the weather can be a bit...variable. Depending on your outlook, it was either miserable this year or the changeable conditions just made the racing even more exciting. I, for one, will never forget watching this years TT race on the Sunday; with Martin Brundle driving the 250 GTO in the wet. It was almost spooky how the weather cleared at exactly the right time for the spitfire display too, would have been a shame if the clouds had stopped that. Revival is also spread over 3 days, so even if you have got a game you could go on the Saturday? If you fancy the idea of it buy yourself a DVD of the event and watch that, but bare in mind it's only a taste. If you like it give it a go. Both amazing events but watching the cars race is really very special.

They only thing I would say is:
Get there early. Bring bottled water. Packed lunch. Folding chair if you plan to sit somewhere all day or for a few hours.

Been the last 4 years now and as others are saying be organised and plan what you want to see, I normally just lose track of time up at the rally stage. Even going on all days I still ended up missing stuff, although admittedly last year I missed a lot on Saturday because I was in both the supercar parades that day and a certain F1 driver caused the afternoon stint to be delayed a bit Got loads of pics and the odd vid on my site, even then you don't get a feel of the atmosphere there where there are just so many historic/special/just plain weird cars and bikes no matter where you look.

I've been going to this event for years now and for the last 2 years have done all 4 days. It's got something for everyone really from seeing the latest supercars to seeing historic cars, bikes and even planes. If you like F1, this is the place to meet the drivers past and present. Do's Arrive early Wear good shoes as you'll end up doing a fair amount of walking to see everything Bring sun tan lotion and a fully charged camera Get up to the rally stage to see some fantastic cars in the forest area Visit the F1 paddock and the other sports cars areas Watch the cars go up the hill Check the map and make sure you see everything you want to Dont's Leave early to miss the traffic, you won't and could find yourself in the exit queue for an hour getting wound up watching people try and jump the queues. Expect the food and drink to be cheap, it's like any sports event although you do get a good choice Not go...... It's a great weekend
