Tragic, and a timely reminder to all of us with a skid-lid.... Desperately sad...

I heard about this on the radio - very tragic. Thoughts with her family.

Depends on what you mean by "change". The tarmac still goes the same way it always did. Apart from that, not much else is the same.

Goodwood is a historic track, track days there can produce accidents and normally bent metal only. Have been there with E Type and XJS via JDC track days and we have bent some cars re lack of run off in places etc. The track cannot be blamed, it is what it is, the weather and bad luck caused a dreadful outcome and was tragic for the driver and her family.

While I absolutley understand that there is a great interest in how / what happend and, because of this, much speculation as to what will change (if I had not seen the incident first hand, I would be wondering the same), can I suggest that you keep it private for the moment, if only to spare the feelings of the guys who visit here who have lost a friend.
Dont get me wrong, I have opinions of changes I would like to see as a result, but, its all still very raw.
This is not meant to be a rant or a flame, so, I hope it does not come across as that - I hope you understand where I am coming from.
Cheers Steve

I don't think I mentioned track safety. Which has. And as an instructor at Goodwood I do know the circuit pretty well.

I know we aren't being encouraged to speculate at this early juncture but I do note that the gravel trap installed at Woodcote when the track was refurbished in 1998 has since been replaced by a tarmac run-off.
