Was a good morning and a lot less congested than Supercar sunday. Only shame was that I couldn't bring the Elf as it had failed the MOT last week.

My pics are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/peejays/sets/72157630...

Enjoyed the morning. Weather was filthy driving down from Oxfordshire but improved when we got to Goodwood. A good turn out of cars given the forecast we had albeit I'm sure we would have had twice the number if the sun had come out.

Well done to everyone who made the effort to bring their pride and joys along.

I made it down in Healey.

The rain on the first leg of the journey was just horrendous but the lil' 100/4 soldiered on and my word was it worth it. The drive through the lanes roofless was just sublime and the eclectic mix of cars on display was just superb -

Best Breakfast club in ages, not to busy, great cars and no posers, just real car enthusiasts. Brilliant

One of the best I have been to in a long time and loved the drive to and from the event too.

Agreed! - Last time a remember a breakfast club like that was a good couple of years ago. No queue to get in, grass car parks open, dry (at Goodwood at least!)

Great day!

I went along yesterday in the good company of my brother-in-law, he succinctly summarised things:

"Ah! The smell of burning oil and frying bacon!"

I enjoyed looking at the old 'ordinary' cars, a trip back in time.
The Morris Minor with the SD1 3.5 litre engine was a treat.
A first rate morning.

In reponse to a comment above, yes that is a Chevette. I'm afraid she's rather tatty at the moment buts its taken a couple of years to get her back on the road and sorted after a contretemps with some Armco near Oxford. There is also the minor fact that this is my "everyday driver" so putting her into a garage for months on end isn't really an option unless it can't be avoided. Its rather nice to see that someone took a photo of us (and a rather good one at that) - thanks!

One thing missing from yesterday and that was a London taxi (one of the first vehicles I ever drove when I was 16) and perhaps a red phone box, although there is a green one near the toilets. Perhaps that should have painted red.

There is a red phonebox at Goodwood. As you come through the main gates, turn right into the 'non-themed' car park and its about 100yrds on the left hand side.

A very relaxed event, like they used to be. Not a Ferrari in sight, anyway!!

Was a very relaxed event in contrast to the manic supercar Sunday.
Great selection of cars both modern and classic, something for everybody!

Parked up the mini on the grid amongst good company. Highlights for me included the super clean modded mk1 Escort and the V8 moggie.
