Breakfast club soft top Sunday 7 October
Discussion
Hello Everyone,
My first post... I'll be there, unfortunately not in a convertible though so mine will be in the public car park. I've just moved to Chichester so it would be cool to meet some people with similar interests from PH. View my profile and drop me an email and we can exchange numbers and meet on Sunday.
See you there
Jez

It was a good morning. My favourites would be;
1.) The lovely red Elan on the grid. Looked hardly restored, just in great nick
2.) The Panther Kallista. How many of those left?
3.) The Renault Caravelle. How many of those left?
4.) The Ford Thunderbird.
5.) The Maserati Khasmin that pulled in just before I left.

ok, serious question, although I am a bit miffed that all 5 of our convoy of Caterhams were shunted off to the public car park, along with several other very nice soft tops, how do they decide who goes in and who doesn't?
What does it take?
Says on the Goodwood website. When all areas on circuit are full and there's a major traffic que on the road the gate will be shut to ease conjestion. What does it take?
Plus there were about 7000 caterhams in there :P

rubbish .. there were 7000 MX5's in there .. and they kept pouring in .. there was no rhyme or reason to itPlus there were about 7000 caterhams in there :P
ETA when I say rubbish, I'm not contesting that is says that on the site, but that was not the reason, the circuit was still filling up when we left 3 hours later

Arrived at 08.10 and was directed straight into the "Tesco" car park. The marshals informed us that the circuit was full!!?!! No it wasn't. Fortunately there is a road linking the car park to the chicane, so I eventually re-parked near Woodcote.johnvthe2nd said:

I don't think there was any "vetting" - a couple of tintops got in - I think it was just a case of marshals being misinformed as there was no limit to parking and the line extended from the middle of the Lavant Straight to Madgwick. What does it take?
