How does it work with bringing a friend with me who is not GRRC, do I just buy two tickets and say he is with me on the gate?
Your allocation is for yourself and your 'guests'. wink

For those that have signed up to the 72nd event have you been told your 'School House' ?

I think possibly those who signed up in the members' enclosure at the Revival may have been allocated them. I haven't had anything, not even the tickets although I received them for the 2014 revival a month ago.

Incidentally I don't understand all this unfamiliarity with houses - talk of Eton and Hogwarts etc. I went to a state primary and comprehensive and had houses in both, albeit just "Red", "Blue", "Green" or "Yellow" (I was "Blue" throughout - "Blues Blues never lose!"). My children's schools have been the same, with more exotic names like "Glennie" and "Zephaniah" - again in state schools. Is this really unusual?

Not to me it's not. My junior and grammar schools both had houses.

House name (torbolton)was given to me at the Revival when I booked my tickets, as Ian said I have not received my tickets yet but have received my FOS and revival tickets

All members have been auto-allocated their house names at random in order to keep the numbers relatively equal, although you can call the Ticket Office & change houses if you want to be with friends or family (or not!). As already stated, the house theme is just a bit of fun - no more than that!
As its a new event, the tickets are still in the final stages if being designed & printed but will be with you in plenty of time for the event.

It's clearly not selling that well judging by the letter threatening to let in the plebs that has arrived on my doormat.

Indeed it was a bit concerning. Anyway, I've supported the event and bought my tickets. I'm rather looking forward to it not being too crowded. I thought that was the idea?

Tried to book some tickets but although being able to log in cant progress when I get to the booking page. Nothing to select so looks like the page is broken. Anyone else trying and failing?

Try logging in as a GRRC member before you get to the actual ticketing page. If that doesnt work (& youve renewed your membership for 2014) then give the Ticket Office a ring in the morning & I'm sure they'll help further - 01243 755055.

"plebs"...rolleyes so no member of the public is allowed to have an interest or be an enthusiast for motorsport, unless a member of the Grrc ?!
and you post this remark on pistonheads too...so you must think fellow pistonhead members are nothing more than "plebs" or think they are all members of the Grrc ?

Also if this fantastic looking new event was to be so sucessful, have you ever thought that goodwood would only open up and grow the event in the coming years to the public anyway?
Just look at the success of the silverstone classic... surely goodwood can not ignore the interest in 70's and 80's racecars back on a race track for ever.

I believe you used to be a GRRC member Richard but gave it up? Anyway, I for one hope it remains sufficiently exclusive that there are no crowds, 15-20,000 attendance rather than the 130,000 that turn up for The Revival. I rather like the idea that I can watch from the pits roof or Richmond Lawns. Have you lost your sense of humour, that or the previous post must have touched a nerve! biglaugh

+1 This was meant to be a members only event for GRRC only.

I booked and paid for this expecting so much.

I suppose there is something is the T&C allowing LM to open up the event to all?

If he does so will he also make them follow the same dress regulations? (Yes seriously there are some)

Don't be so pathetic. It's a figure of speech, no more or less.

There is a limit on what Goodwood can do, regardless of what it and enthusiasts want. Noise is one key factor.

laugh yes true Rich ..but i still have my sense of humour ! smile ... i can see Grrc members point of view , it looks to be a great event lined up for Grrc members and it would be shame to flood it with the general public !! just feel remarks like 'plebs' are no way to view non Grrc members .

15000 to 20000 is about right? Rich have you worked out how many people could come??

5000 members, if they were all single members and can buy up to 4 tickets…..
