Super day yesterday, up for some more today. Saturday night entertainments were fab , great hall candlelit at night was magical - Goodwood play another blinder,. Lets just hope ticket sales were enough to make this a goer in future years....cost of the lack of crowds and freedom to roam, might just mean it's unviable, at least as a members only thing.

Chaps...by 9.30am the event was already a gauranteed success. It was sunny and the easy going free access around the Paddock made the thing immediately apparant Charlie boy had done it again. By 18.30 it had become the best modern Goodwood event since Ray put the Spit below the grandstands.

My group is convinced Pirro started from the pitlane on purpose for the fun smile

Congratulations to all involved - quite simply the best motoring event I have ever attended at Goodwood by such a long way.
A great atmosphere (helped no doubt by the weather) with unparalleled access to some truly stunning machinery. And the racing - just fantastic.

A special event that will live long in the memory.

Absolutely agree. Just a shame the food was at the usual comedy prices.

Went both days, not as long the Sunday. But there from 8am to 21:45 Saturday.

Saturday was epic. Great track action. Lots of space to go where you please and amazing access to paddock etc.

Evening entertainment was fantastic and the fireworks also. Another great Goodwood event!!

I just hope they don't get greedy and if this makes money as it is then they keep the numbers as low as possible. It's back to how the very first Revival Meeting felt which is a good thing!!

Demo runs needed to be longer, 5 laps is not enough for Group B's or F1 cars. Shame 50% of the F1 cars had packed up by Sunday and the drier of the Candy Toleman needs to speed up a lot!!!!

Apart from that, the only gripe was the car park as usual, poor entry for people with low cars. I had no issue in the Xantia wink Getting out was another matter, a couple of exits and plates on the floor would be nice, my poor auto could barely move in the soft sticky mud! I've come to expect car park has at Goodwood these days though.

As for comedy food prices, it's no worse than Silverstone or Brands and the food I think is slightly better quality than the plastic burgers you get from there.

If it bothers people that much take a packed lunch or buy a sandwich from M&S on the way. Food purchase isn't compulsory.

Wow!!!! What a day it was so nice to walk about freely and not have lots of people in the way. It's also nice to see 95% of people made the effort to dress smart for the occasion, the only complaint would be food and drink running out in places, but there were other outlets so just walked on. It's so nice being able to grab a chair when I want to rest my legs and when I want/food or drink no line to wait in!!

The evening entertainment was probably my highlight so far and certainly what my 2 guests won't stop talking about. There was almost too much to see in so little time, wall of death, samba drummers (really good if anyone knows who they are interested to see them again), oompah band, another brass band, musical bingo with choir the human jukebox fire breathing dragon stilt walkers, and the best for us was the village disco, seriously tempted to book them for an evening just great relaxing entertainment. And the fireworks were great.

If they were selling tickets for next year now I'd buy them now!

However no sign of the 767B???
+1, had an amazing time, food issue running out was getting annoying after queuing up for ages only to be told most of the choices had gone. (Not much veggy option either? )

Kinda glad I made the effort to go smartly dress but IMO, felt a tad over dressed, the strictly no jeans policy....erm !!

However, the cars were fantastic, the evenings entertainment was just brilliant, the Human Juke Box were excellent and very funny.

The firework display at the end was superb, got home around 12pm after a slight detour when the Hindhead Tunnel was closed, there was a small convoy in the same boat, don't know who it was but I followed a Porsche who knew where he was going, done me a massive favour following him, if you read this, thanks for getting me back on the A3 thumbup

There was a Merc behind me who knew the route as well.

Great day, hope I get the chance to go again smile

Just out of interest, presumably you threw caution to the wind when paying your £200 annual GRRC membership fee entitling you to attend, amongst others, this members only event so of what what exactly were you nervous?

Went today and enjoyed the whole dress up thing. Enjoyable time but what was going on with the 13.30 turbo F1 display? I could have driven faster than some of them...

Being a bit of a spender I wanted more trade stands so I could waste my money, but that's nothing to worry about!

We had a great weekend, the evening entertainment was superb, food at £12 for a dinner in the great hall didn't seem too excessive either, I really hope they can put on another. I was lucky enough to get selected for the chicane parking, both days our Vitesse was parked next to an Enzo which showed the variety of cars in there.

More of a rolling display than any excitement to it unfortunately.

I did like the 5L supercharged defender. Sounded ace. The Twisted models were nice also.

Went both days and it was brill - I wonder if the idea is to spread out from the Revival a bit, as it's inevitable at some point the old cars racing in September won't be as able or as readily available?

I think they'll have no trouble selling to the GRRC next year - I know there were quite a lot of people there who were invited to buy tickets, but who weren't members (good luck to them, I reckon). Maybe the plan for this event is to add so much more value to GRRC membership, that the waiting list gets ever longer and the prices go up... so guaranteeing thousands of members at £500 a year or whatever. Smart business by the Goodwood Estate, even if it ends up causing a few complaints.
