At the Goodwood Hotel, just had a nice breakfast and a cheery good morning from Sir Stirling Moss, watching the F1 qualli and the off to catch the shuttle bus to the circuit, it looks like it's going to be a really good day.

Just back home... WOW what a day

Exceeded all my expectations, just a perfect day out.

Awesome machinery, talent and glorious weather.

Can't wait to watch all the action again when its shown on TV

Exhausted but just blown away... what an utterly incredible array of machines, and to be able to walk amongst them in such an un-crowded and relaxed paddock. Very, very special indeed.

A truly excellent day. I only had tickets for Saturday but will certainly go all weekend next year.

TV coverage: it's not showing yet in Digiguide, but apparently it will be on Channel 4.

From the other side of the fence so to speak, we were there today running some of the F1 cars and I have to say it was a pleasure to chat to so many like minded, friendly people. Truly a special event and not just for those attending as spectators. We like to share what we do and to be able to in this public but not quite public way is lovely. To any one I spoke to today sorry we were so busy (and so noisy smile ) and I hope we answered any questions you had in sufficent detail.

Just got back - super day.

I planned to stay for the party - but it seemed like everyone decided to be in exactly the same place at 6:30 and it was too chaotic. So I drifted off.

I would be interested to hear what the evening element was like.

There were great, a little busy, but as there was so much to see could of done with more time.
Fireworks were fantastic too..

Goodwood, "The Greatest Show on Earth".
Many congratulations to Lord March, James and all of the Team, good racing and so many lovely cars, a terrific day and evening, we were right behind the drumming band on the way in to the evening opening and everything there was stunning, especially the firebreathing dragons!!!

It was the Revival 20yrs ago with added...extra!

Adding Le Mans cars...genius.
Adding Gp B rally cars...genius.
Adding F1 Turbo cars...uber genius.

Adding 35yo Touring Cars...worth the entrance fee alone.

Wow!!!! What a day it was so nice to walk about freely and not have lots of people in the way. It's also nice to see 95% of people made the effort to dress smart for the occasion, the only complaint would be food and drink running out in places, but there were other outlets so just walked on. It's so nice being able to grab a chair when I want to rest my legs and when I want/food or drink no line to wait in!!

The evening entertainment was probably my highlight so far and certainly what my 2 guests won't stop talking about. There was almost too much to see in so little time, wall of death, samba drummers (really good if anyone knows who they are interested to see them again), oompah band, another brass band, musical bingo with choir the human jukebox fire breathing dragon stilt walkers, and the best for us was the village disco, seriously tempted to book them for an evening just great relaxing entertainment. And the fireworks were great.

If they were selling tickets for next year now I'd buy them now!

However no sign of the 767B???

+ another 1. The final race through the twilight was magical. The Aston/Lotus dual for first place was amongst the best I've seen at Goodwood for ages and resulted in the two cars being split by half a second at the end of an hour long race from daylight to darkness. As good as it gets!

Some great cars parked in the Chicane paddock too. Don't miss those if you're going Sunday smile

Got to go along with the previous comments, a fantastic day out. Well done to Lord March and all the team at Goodwood for creating a really special event.
It struck me like a mini-revival, but with far less people and some more modern cars on track (It's not often you get the chance to see 2 x F40's giving it some beans around the track as "Circuit Cars" !!. Loved watching the Capri's racing for a bit of 80's retro.

I hope it's a regular event now smile
