Anyway, the Supercar Sunday theme is just that - the main attraction. It shouldn't preclude there being other ice/interesting/rare cars there, as long as they are appropriately sectioned.
Well said. The only ones I couldn't understand were a mid range Merc Cab & a 90's Honda Prelude (there's always some that slip the net), but by and large there was a high concentration of properly 'super' cars like the Zonda, F40, Aventador, XJ220, Enzo etc. on the grid, with lots of really interesting stuff spread all over the place. Lotus Carlton or Renault Alpine GTA may not be 'supercars' in most peoples books, but there's loads of space so why not let them in? They certainly enrichened the event for me. Change nothing imho!

The Lark car departs.

This is the only downside I can see. When an owner wants to leave, it's very time consuming and filled with people wanting to get that last picture. The marshalls don't appear to be anywhere to help either. I imagine slow crawling in a F1 is also wallet battering with those clutches...
Actually the marshals were excellent and did show us easiest way out. No need to clear people as usually the f1 does that anyway!

Agreed.

In previous years the marshalls choices have be 'interesting' to say the least. One year we got on to the grid with my mates RS5, while in the outer car park were a Porsche 911 50th Anniversary and a genuine Ferrari Daytona Spyder (the well known X7)!!

I think the pre-reg system worked very well as far as the grid was concerned and it seemed to help with traffic control too.

By the way, did anyone see a Veyron? Must have been the only recent hypercar not to be there.

GT3 RS (I'd assume Duggan as he said the Mrs was driving?)

Yes! A great day out and one of those special moments that come up a few times a year – heading out of London at dawn on the Panigale following Mrs Duggan in the RS (given she normally pedals a 500 Abarth, she did a great job) biggrin

Then stopped off for fuel on the A3, along with an F40 / 599 GTO!

Great selection of cars on display – I never understand why people get so wound-up by the selection process – never forget that circa 10 years ago we used to meet up at Virgina Waters & there used to be a collective gasp when a Diablo turned up – how times change…

Good photo of the car & Mrs Duggan! Did I get photo-shopped out of it, as I was behind her on the bike?

The big "first" for me, was a Bulldog, never seen one in the flesh before.

Did not get a chance to go all the way round, the Mrs was getting itchy feet.
Anyone know if there was a 177 there?

I noticed that the blue Lagonda did not have the original (apparently troublesome) digital dash.

Correct... copied and pasted from Wikipedia so, (hopefully) correct.

"The Aston Martin Bulldog, styled by William Towns, was a one-off testbed vehicle produced by Aston Martin in 1979. Originally, it had been intended to be a limited run of about 25. The code name for the project was DP K9, named after a Doctor Who character. It was built in the UK, but is a left-hand-drive car. It is very low at 43 inches (1.1 m) high, and sharp, distinctive Trapezium shaped design, features centre-mounted five hidden headlamps and gull-wing doors. The interior uses digital instrumentation and the rear view is delivered via a television monitor mounted on the centre console. The Bulldog was powered by a 5.3L twin-turbo V8 delivering 700 bhp (522 kW – other source claims 600 bhp/477 kW) maximum power and 69 kg/mm (500 ft・lb/677 Nm) maximum torque.

The first test drive of the Bulldog came in late 1979 and was a great success. The Bulldog achieved a verified top speed of 191 mph (307 km/h), but the theoretical top speed is estimated at 237 mph (381 km/h). The car was officially launched on 27 March 1980 at the Bell Hotel at Aston Clinton. After the development programme was over, Aston Martin sold the only Bulldog to the highest bidder for about £130,000.

The Bulldog spent some time in the United States, but has recently been offered for sale in Britain. It was now green, compared to original exterior colours of silver and light grey. The interior has also been changed from the original dark brown and black to light tan."

Duggan, seeing your car on a few occasions has now made me want a 997 gt3 rs so bad.

I think its time to really start saving the pennies and look to make to jump from the m3....
