Actually the marshals were excellent and did show us easiest way out. No need to clear people as usually the f1 does that anyway!
Without wanting to sound extremely grovelly thank you very much Andy for bringing the Lark car. Most of us don't get to see something as amazing as that and it's appreciated. I'm sure you made lots people's day.

Not wound up at all about slection process, just trying to have a healthy debate
How dose a Mk 2 Jag saloon rate as a "supercar"?
D Types, Yes, E Types Yes, XKRs Yes, but an old Mk 2 Jag? come on.
A Beechams build for Patrick Head, with 400bhp Supercharged V8, not a supercar? come on!How dose a Mk 2 Jag saloon rate as a "supercar"?

yes i may be a bit biased, but i do love that car
Sports car/Supercar NO.
Be a Better event in my book, get rid of the bloody mini too, there are plenty of Piston head Sunday Service runs for all that stuff, Classic car Shows, Needless to say I don't bother going to many Classic car shows unless there is decent AMERICAN iron at them I have been to Goodwood in the past in my car and been directed to park away from the grid as my car was deemed not to be the right stuff
Here is my set of photographs from Sunday. I am slowly uploading them to the set.

nd it made the Grid, Not Supercar in my book....Just Modified. Don't get me wrong, it was done very well but IMO should not have been on the Grid.
Next it will be VW camper vans with Porsche engines
Hmmm small harsh. I was there when he turned up and spoke with the owner. If a 'supercar' is a v fast car then this thing qualified more than the 458 Speciale that parked next to it. Try 0-62in 3.3 and lets not talk about the work involved. Hats off to him in my bookNext it will be VW camper vans with Porsche engines

There are now loads of everyday sheds that are just as fast if not faster than many 60s, 70s, 80s 90s 'Supercars'
It was a very well done modification, but at the end of the day its based on an old mini. Paddock, if you like, Grid ....NO. IMO
This is one of the reasons I attend Petrolhead Nirvana evenings, you get a bit of everything, its great, but on this particular day there were many more cars worthy of the Grid than to be tucked away in a shed in the paddock or to be miles around the far end of the track. IMO.

Just a quick question. Was it coincidence that yourself and Masons car turned up or did you make an effort to go in convoy. Attract much attention?

I had photos of Linda Lusardi And Sam Fox on my wall but it didn't stop me wanting to see the talent at the local titty bar
D
Those were the days D
Glad we could have a sensible debate
Now if any of you want a ride in those Supercars, be sure to check out the Supercar event at Dunsfold Surrey (Top Gear Track)on June 21st 22nd, All monies raised go to the Childrens Trust Many of us give rides in the cars over the weekend, the LFA is normally there and last year Mr Evans turned up in some old Red open top Ferrari We don't exactly hang around either but its all fun and Safety is paramount
See you all in June
