Actually the marshals were excellent and did show us easiest way out. No need to clear people as usually the f1 does that anyway!
Without wanting to sound extremely grovelly thank you very much Andy for bringing the Lark car.

Most of us don't get to see something as amazing as that and it's appreciated. I'm sure you made lots people's day.

Not wound up at all about slection process, just trying to have a healthy debate smile
How dose a Mk 2 Jag saloon rate as a "supercar"?
D Types, Yes, E Types Yes, XKRs Yes, but an old Mk 2 Jag? come on.
A Beechams build for Patrick Head, with 400bhp Supercharged V8, not a supercar? come on!
yes i may be a bit biased, but i do love that carcloud9
Well not a Supercar in my book, Never had a poster of one of those or model of one in my matchbox collection. Classic car yes, modified car, Yes.
Sports car/Supercar NO. tongue out
If the event was restricted to absolutely only supercars by some hazy logic, there would be 80% less cars and the event would be a shadow of Sunday. I just don't see the problem. There's plenty of space, the cars are interesting, it doesn't cost anything, and the main grid is still restricted mostly to top level cars fitting the theme. It would be a poorer event if something like that mk2 Jag was 'not allowed'.

soapbox Be a Better event in my book, get rid of the bloody mini too, there are plenty of Piston head Sunday Service runs for all that stuff, Classic car Shows, Needless to say I don't bother going to many Classic car shows unless there is decent AMERICAN iron at them tongue out I have been to Goodwood in the past in my car and been directed to park away from the grid as my car was deemed not to be the right stuff wink

I think I might do; were you revving up outside the main gate in a que in the orange TVR? With some encouragement from the crowd?
Yes that was me. If you've got any pictures or videos would be really appreciated.

nd it made the Grid, Not Supercar in my book....Just Modified. Don't get me wrong, it was done very well but IMO should not have been on the Grid.
Next it will be VW camper vans with Porsche engines rolleyes

Hmmm small harsh. I was there when he turned up and spoke with the owner. If a 'supercar' is a v fast car then this thing qualified more than the 458 Speciale that parked next to it. Try 0-62in 3.3 and lets not talk about the work involved. Hats off to him in my book

Look, I agree with most of what you say but would that make the Evo Supercar list.....NO Would that be a poster on your wall like a Ferrari or Lambo, Aston Martin, Cobra, Viper, E Type Jag, Saleen S7, Veyron, McLaren, Pagini etc....No

There are now loads of everyday sheds that are just as fast if not faster than many 60s, 70s, 80s 90s 'Supercars'

It was a very well done modification, but at the end of the day its based on an old mini. Paddock, if you like, Grid ....NO. IMO smile

This is one of the reasons I attend Petrolhead Nirvana evenings, you get a bit of everything, its great, but on this particular day there were many more cars worthy of the Grid than to be tucked away in a shed in the paddock or to be miles around the far end of the track. IMO. smile

Just a quick question.

Was it coincidence that yourself and Masons car turned up or did you make an effort to go in convoy. Attract much attention? biggrin

I may have arrived a little early...worth it though! A couple of the F40s that arrived first (thanks for the conversation, owner of the first arrival!) More to come over the next few days as I intermittently get chances to edit!

Now if any of you want a ride in those Supercars, be sure to check out the Supercar event at Dunsfold Surrey (Top Gear Track)on June 21st 22nd, All monies raised go to the Childrens Trust smile Many of us give rides in the cars over the weekend, the LFA is normally there and last year Mr Evans turned up in some old Red open top Ferrari biggrin We don't exactly hang around either wink but its all fun and Safety is paramount wink
See you all in June smile

Dohhh! I missed this & it looked amazing from the Youtube clip. Rare cars normally looking ten a penny given the numbers. I've never seen an LFA or F1, let alot 2 F1s.It looked well organised given the turnout.
