I'm going on the 26th for the first time this year too, on free AA tickets. Really looking forward to it and hopefully the Gooodwood-lite that seems to be the consensus of the Thursday will still be fun and interesting.

I did Thursday & Saturday last year. Thursday I got for free, Saturday I paid full whack.

I personally won't be going Friday / Saturday / Sunday from now on unless I get offered a free ticket as the massive price difference doesn't justify the 'extras' you get from a fully operational FOS over the Moving Motorshow imho.

Enjoy OP! Hoping to go Thursday again myself this year too thumbup

i very much doubt that. Goodwood seem to be splitting into two events backed onto one another. one being the festival of speed the other being the moving motor show.

too right. driving a renault captur up the hill and seeing a le mans car coming towards you trying to make its way to either the start line or its paddock!! unless they have finally made the off the road loop back to the start line.

There is a note on the Goodwood Marshals Club calendar for the Thursday that super cars are to be timed.

Another quick question (and probably a silly one). But do they have programmes available on this day to collect with a voucher? Or are they just available for the 'actual' Festival of Speed days?

You can purchase the program(s) on the Thursday. There is a small program for the moving motorshow (£5 i think) and the Festival of Speed Program which comes as two brochures, one is the actual program and a smaller one which lists all the entries, this is £15. You can buy both programs on the Thursday. I assume the prices will be the same this year

I might be there on the Thursday with work visiting the Bloodhound lot with a bunch of our kids.

Hoping we'll get a chance to wander around as well and they'll be a bit to see for them

I have to say as someone who left the AA after 14 years to take up the RAC deal at the Revival, it's a little irritating that it is AA members that get the free tickets! frown

It seems the Goodwood/RAC partnership has not been a very long one!

Im not quite sure what to say to that really...unless your sole interest is road cars and supercars there is no way on earth the Thursday ever is going to better the weekend, and Sat/Sun always top Friday too.
