26th June.....a few questions.....
Discussion
I have been given a Thursday ticket, as I am interested in road cars/ super cars looks like this is a good day for me to go?!
I heard something about the Audi and free champers? is this true (The person I am going with has an audi)?
If anyone else has been some advise on times? Getting there especially?
Any other tips will be great!
(sorry for the hijack )

Show the Audi key and you'll get in a nice viewing area with free drink not sure on how much drink you can have I'm normally to busy seeing everything.

Last year Thursday was a nice day - some rallying on top of the hill, lots of V8 audis blasting up the road (all roadcars but driven spiritedly), and all those trade stands you struggle to get around anyway.
Best of all it was free for children so junior got a day out (10 yo).
As usual I bought an auction catalogue which gets you 2 x adult entry on both Thursday and Friday.
This year it's £55.00 - so 4 x entry at £13.75 a pop.
And the auction is good fun, with pay bar (cheaper tea than outside) and nicer portaloos.
As I'm not a fan of mega crowding Sat and Sun do not appeal...maybe one day when I stump up for hospitality and can lounge down near the start line.

I too was one of the runners up in the PH BMW M4 Competition and am going on the 26th! I went last year to the moving motorshow and it is defo worth going. You still get to see the F1 cars in the F1 paddock as they prep for the weekend. There's so much to see. Yeah you don't get the full lineup going up the hill, but there is more space to take in the stands and absorb the event. Can't wait!
I've been given a pair of blue 'sponsor's guest' badges by Toyota for tomorrow. Now, I've been on the Thursday before, so I know what goes on and that. However, on the back, they say 'enables entry to the sponsor's enclosure and Goodwood house'. Does that actually mean I'll get to go in the house, and if I do, what's going on in there that's worth bothering with?

In the house I would expect champagne on tap? also its a very nice house to generally just have a look around.I went last year on free ticket on Thursday, and have purchased some this year. Apart from no hill climb, and a few missing cars I did not feel I missed out at all. Me and the Mrs had a fantastic day. They only thing I have learnt is take more food and drink in with me.
Vintage car show was amazing. Super car and old F1 cars in the pits. All manufacturer stands open. xgames bikes doing jumps, salt flat cars etc etc etc.
Enjoyed talking to smaller kit car manufacturers, as often it was the designers and owners and not just sales people. Uni students with rushing to finish their box cars was interesting.
