I have six tickets for general entry on the Saturday. These are full retail tickets, not local resident concessions. I bought 20 as I'm organising a 40th anniversary reunion of petrolhead mates but my final attendance is confirmed as 14 so 6 are now spare. They are advertised elsewhere so first come, first served. Please PM with your offers. I appreciate the PH etiquette says that face value is the preferred option and I did sell my spare FoS tickets below face value to a PH member, but I'd appreciate your best offers before I sell these elsewhere. I hope I'm not breaking any rules, but bow to the open market for these six tickets. I'd put them on Ebay/Stubhub but their charges are ludicrous. If only venues offered returns to give others a better chance with unused tickets!
So you wish these companies who make their money from allowing people to sell goods did not charge such high commission , you have confused me. Are you not just doing the same by looking for more than face value. Why do you not just sell them on here at face value to real petrol heads, then you have no worry about e bay etc digging into your profits.
Sad day when some look at making a few ££ off tickets for such events but if your happy that's fine.

Not the same at all. If I list them on Stubhub to recover face value, then they add 18%. I didn't buy them to speculate, but even if I had, I don't see any problem with selling anything at it's market value. I bought a house a few years back and will sell it at market value to the next person, not at the price I paid for it. I bought a TR5 a few years back. I paid 10x it's original purchase price but even then, it doubled in value in the time I owned it and I sold it at a price the buyer was prepared to pay, not the price I, or the original owner paid. Why do you not just sell them on here at face value to real petrol heads, then you have no worry about e bay etc digging into your profits.

If "the market" is prepared to pay upwards of £120 for these tickets, then that's what they'll sell for. The nature of my job means I'm often having to arrange stuff at short notice, I almost always end up buying concert tickets for a premium as I'm not able to get online when the ticket sales open. It's just a fact of life. Most often market rate is somewhat less than you paid for something and a loss is made. I don't have any qualms at all in selling something at market rate. It's cost price is irrelevant.

You are not making any sense, on one hand you wish companies (ie Goodwood) would take back unwanted tickets but you are not willing to just say I will sell them to fellow PHers at face value. If "the market" is prepared to pay upwards of £120 for these tickets, then that's what they'll sell for. Your analogy of a house and a car increasing in value and selling tickets with a face value of £x maybe shows that your thought process is a bit mucked up.
It takes all sorts, enjoy Goodwood (if you are really attending)

Will certainly be there, Friday and Saturday. 14 of us. Looking forward to it very much.Of course there is one easy way for people to get tickets at face value and that's to get on the Goodwood website as soon as possible after tickets go on sale. Especially fellow PHers who will be more tuned into this sort of annual event.

I have two Woodcote stand passes available for Sunday. They are close together (A005 and B014 - i.e. front and second rows). Face value £75 each. PM me if interested. I might sell individually if no-one wants both. Sorry I don't have General Entrance tickets which will be needed to access the circuit and grandstands.
I'm putting these on Gumtree, so if you are interested, speak now.Rostrenner said:
Hello everyone,
may I ask if somebody has 3 spare tickets (general admission adults) left for the Goodwood Revival on Saturday, 13 September 2014. I would appreciate decent pricing.
I booked flights to the UK, but missed out on tickets, unfortunately.
Thank you, any hint is much appreciated.
Regards
Jan
