Doesn't take many clicks to find a weather forecast of blazing sunshine at the weekend.

The timings keep changing for when the rain comes so I would suggest there is some uncertainty about the progress of this bad weather.

Whilst I work daily with the met office I stopped using the ios apps as they are always inaccurate. My last day in work before FOS is tomorrow so I'll get an accurate forecast off the met man / met woman and let you all know, bearing in mind we don't like to go beyond 2/3 days so Sunday would be a bit speculative.

if the rain DOES come and it's a wet one - would you take a TVR T350 on the wet grass for camping or would you play it safe with a VW Tiguan?? don't fancy getting my front end ripped off by a tow truck!

Cheers can't seem to work out how to add a smiley to the conversation but if anybody spots a 54plate yellow mgzr with mg X power stickers all over it. Then that would be me and mrs chav (tracie).Oh her car not mine before the banter starts

Hopefully will bump into a few of you there Thursday

With one or two exceptions in the past, the weather clears pretty quickly at Goodwood given the proximity to the coast & I hope that the weather forecaster prophets of doom are proved wrong. Hoping Saturday's forecast improves as we get closer to the weekend biggrin

I am the bearer of bad news.

Just spoken to the met man at work. Tomorrow for the MMS should be similar weather to what we have been experiencing this week, then from Thursday night low pressure will take over and keep us unsettled through til next week.

Friday he was more specific with the morning being light/moderate persistant rain clearing by lunch then the afternoon heavy showers with potential for thunderstorms.

I remember driving home from Goodwood a fair few years ago in an awessome thunderstorm and very heavy rain, got home to find the hotel near me had been hit by lightning!!

I remember that storm, I had just left and was between Goodwood and Midhurst and was very glad I was not still at Goodwood

I remember every bridge had motorbikes parked up hiding from the worst of it. Then within an hour it was rainbows and sun again.

Mrs Travs and I were in our MGB on that occasion - the only thing missing was the roof which was at home. Ended up ever so slightly moist!

Afraid not. A weak low with a front will move up from the SW bringing the unsettled and sometimes wet weather with it.

Hope is that maybe the front is weak enough that the showers which may be beefy are very hit and miss and Goodwood escapes!

But Id think if it catches a downpour itll be noticeable!
