Wtf??

You and your stupid iPad and your stupid weather app are barred from this thread.... I was hoping it was sunshine and 25c!
Doesn't take many clicks to find a weather forecast of blazing sunshine at the weekend.
Its going to be wet. Should feel pleasant in the sun though if we get any :-(
wink

Saturday's weather was OK, despite all the forecasts of doom and gloom.

It drizzled a bit a few times, but very little need for the two large umbrellas we took. A little chilly toward the end of the afternoon though, right before the Anthony Reid smash that began with an Aston Martin loosing a wheel to the flint wall...

...and ended when the clerk of the course pulled the plug on the day's action because there was too much oil to run the rest of the 'shoot out' safely.

To say I was disappointed was an understatement, as that beautiful XJ220 was already away when the red flags came out, and it never got to complete a balls out run, but I was also very happy they saw sense and culled the run, after what happened to the Toyota/Radical electric race car.

The FoS was so lucky not to have seen significant rainfall though, especially with this weather front overhead...

...it had been building all afternoon, with low cloud being blown in from the sea, and just hanging around slightly inland. When I got home, the BBC local news/weather was going on about thunderstorms and flash floods around and about, but the FoS happily didn't suffer at the hands of the weather this time out.

Totally agree, I went on Thursday and there were lots little ones from babies in buggies to 4 or 5 year olds who lose interest after half an hour, as so often seen on Pistonheads though parents justify taking them.

Probably the same idiotic parents who take their kids to the supermarket on Saturday afternoons. Usually, mum, dad, gran and 3 kids all together. What passes for a family day out these days!!

What an absolutely cracking weekend - loved every minute of all 4 days and the weather was excellent!!

Given the forecast were we just amazingly lucky or was the forecast just completely wrong? Seems hard to believe the forecasters could be so off with their predictions.

Taking children to a supermarket? unbelievable!

We were lucky enough to be able to leave ours at the inlaws all day so we could go on our own. However I would not be averse to the idea of taking them, in short if they are not bothering you mind your own business.

There was a problem on the A3 friday evening at Milford and the (tomtom generated) diversion had a number of flash-flooding issues, ponds overflowing etc. I use an app called WeatherPro and I watched the radar - all the rain just made it north of Goodwood. Amazing how it missed us all!

We went on Friday having been forecast a solid four hours of rain from 08:00...

Luckily the waterproofs pack into the back pack.

Even took the 4x4 in case of car park armageddon, but not a problem and really very nice at 18 degrees and sunny.

The forecasts over the last few weeks have been atrocious, or my interpretation of them has worsened.
