Just worked through my static stuff (track stuff to do next). It was like 6 or 7 years ago this morning in the paddock, so quiet, loved it. Things got even better up the hill, literally the only person in the top section for the first batch and it never got really busy at all, very weird.

I got lucky with the Williams F1 car, they decided they needed to swap them over early on Thursday so left the "NEW" Martini one in the middle of the trackway.. with no crowds around it!

Clearly show the benefits of paying for decent glass.

I decided some years ago to only buy 'L' lenses for my Canon and as a st photographer they give me a much better chance of getting 'that' photo.

Lovely photos and as you suggest good glass makes a HUGE difference.

Ironically these were with a Sigma 35mm 1.4, blows the Canon 35 1.4 out of the water imo. But yes, glass over body all day long.I decided some years ago to only buy 'L' lenses for my Canon and as a st photographer they give me a much better chance of getting 'that' photo.

Last time I went I went to FOS I spent the whole day with a 50mm 1.8 on my MkII. I was too close to use anything else and it was just the job.
