Awesome weekend even after 16 years keeps getting better! Only thing that irked me was the amount of rubbish people leave laying about there are plenty of bins so us them

Just got home after working there for all 4 days. Had a fantastic time and the majority of visitors to the stand were friendly and knowledgable.
Bit odd to see people walking round with pints of lager at 7.30am and the idiot who tried to nick the badge from the one of one concept car. He was caught using a screwdriver trying to prise it off!

Simply outstanding although the prices are getting a bit rich. A real sense of theatre and a great opportunity to get up close and personal with heroes and their toys. I was really taken with the Jaguar F-type R but shocked at the £101k list price! Got to love the Pistonhead specced M4 in dark blue which looked epic. I'll be back next year.

Shame that the pissheads and vandals are arriving.

I was amazed too seeing how many people drinking so early in the morning? Still a fabulous event though and in such a picturesque setting.

Loved it, great day and superb weather. Great mix of activities and cars to see, been going as long as I can remember and still find it hard to sleep the night before. Thought the Supercar carpark was better organised and set out this year, didn't take mine though! I thought £60 to park your own car which then becomes a feature of the show a tad unfair, especially as the area is not actually policed. But you pays your money......
Met Fittipaldi which was great, adored the Maserati Cartier display and saw a few current F1 stars.
Only thing that's starting to grate a little is the "Hospitatlity Wally's" marching around, not really there for the cars, looking downs ones nose in a pair of brogues and chinos with omnipresent silly hat and put on accent which I noticed tends to slip as the day wears on and the Champagne glass becomes slightly more empty than full. But then again they are great for people watching and you can always pick out the real pretenders.;) The Casio watch always gives it away!
Brilliant weekend can't wait for next year........Darling where's one's Trilby maw maw haa.....yah yah!

My favourite year since about 2009 (I always go on Fridays), it's easy to take for granted if you live within a few hours of it, but as the old chaps who had come over from New Zealand for it who were stood next to me at the top of the hill put it succinctly...it's the best motorsport event in the world.

I have only ever missed one FOS, everyone is different but this year there seemed to be a few changes in layout etc to keep things fresh.

Only down point for me is the same old, same old - trying to get out of the car park at the end of the day! If you leave it until late then there is never an issue but I needed to scoot at 18:00-ish tonight and it took 50 mins to do 300 yds from my parking space to the gate! It's bad enough if everyone behaves themselves and queues up, but there are always the morons who queue jump and cut in at the front, no different than driving in any major town but given that the majority of people who attend Goodwood are petrolheads you would think these sorts of amoebas would respect a little protocol/good manners!

Other than the car park (oh, and cost of a bacon roll), it was an excellent day out with something for everyone!

First time ever I've experienced no parking issues. Arrived there for 8am on the button and drove straight in. Left at about 5:30 and took less than 5 minutes to leave the car park.

The M23 and M25 were a bit different though

Overall a good FOS although as said above very few things to make the event seem fresh.

However GAS was completley re-modelled and was a great improvement, although can you really improve on people on bikes back-flipping with no hands?

I was also very dissapointed with the lack of a REAL cricket pitch feature, yes the art/photos were nice to look at but nothing of any significance.

Out on the track it was good to see alot of commited driving, slightly let down by fast cars being released too early behind slow cars resulting in aborted runs. quite a few fairly heavy smashes into Molecombe and one further up the hill but good to see all walking away.

My highlight had to be Kenny Brack really pushing the Longtail Mclaren GTR up the hill was very impressive to watch my favourite car getting driven in that manner up a very tight course certainly is something I wont forget.

Sebastien Buemi was really pushing the redbull F1 car up the hill it would be nice if anyone managed to find out an unofficial time as it was certainly quick and I believe the only way to be the 41.6 record is in another F1 car, with better gearing I dont think Loeb would have a further 3 seconds in the car.

And finally my last highlight from the weekend was Michael Bartels in the special liveried Maserati MC12 "Goodwood Cent 100" considering the car was only completed tuesday and first run on Friday makes me think theres more to come from that car, not a record better but certainly a 42/43sec run.

Until next year.........

Was another year where they seemed to improve on last.

Sunday was a bit of a drag because of the accidents, and they seemed to arse up the shoot out by not running the cars 20-1.

The newer layout of the paddock was good, though I missed the interview stage, which was always good for seeing random chats (anyone who has listened to Brian Redman would agree!).

Still saw very little, missed a good 30-40% of the event just due to time. Ive said it before but this time I am determined: next year itll be all 4 days. Its the only way.

Fantastic 5 days . Lucky enough to have a buddy running the V8 Ford Falcon on the hill so full out of hours access to view all the cars . A run up the hill in the support transit ( think our driver managed a 1:30 with a trailer on ! ) to the top paddock , on site camping and topped off with drivers club access. Button , Webber , Hill , Moss , Dario all queuing for there dinner like the rest of us . (well maybe not button) . Well back to normality today ....time to get ready for work .

3 of us made the trek down from Sheffield for Saturday. Loved it.

Personally highlights was Tiff giving it big skids in the PH Beemer, Chris Hoy binning it and the Celica GT4 in the forest rally stage.

Been going for many, many years now. Thought Friday was quieter than it has been in previous years. Disappointed with the cricket pitch display, this has been one of the highlights in the past, but the art work could have been accommodated elsewhere, and have something more impressive.
Thought there was a marked decrease in the trade / speciality stands this year, especially above the F1 paddock.
Noticed an increase in shirtless chavs too - please cover it up!!! Oh and the dappy cow standing under a "No Smoking" sign in the cathedral paddock with a lit cigarette in her hand - duh.
Sorry this is just the negatives, but the positives FAR outweigh the negatives.
But overall still an excellent event, made better by the superb weather.

We must have been lucky or as you say, timing is vital - left car park at around 18.45 and were out in minutes. Compared to the chaos at Le Mans 2 weeks ago, I thought this was paradise.

First time visitor and loved it.

Fantastic organisation from signposting through to welcoming staff, layout, viewing, food and beverage etc etc, incredible access to cars, jaw-dropping selection of cars, well-behaved and calm visitors (we saw no trouble, not even littering, at all)...

ACO could learn a few lessons...

Wonderful weekend, as always. Seemed slightly quieter than previous years, perhaps the threat of bad weather keeping people away, but turned out fantastic in the end.

One huge point of praise I would like to make is how disabled-friendly the event seems to be - I went with my sister for a couple of the days who is in a wheelchair, and it seems that every possible effort was made to make it as easy as possible to enjoy the day. We were driven from the car park straight in and dropped off near the motability stand, staff on the big trade stalls went out of their way to move things, open doors, generally make life a bit less problematic. People even moved out of the way to let her in near the track crossings so she could see, and the marshals made sure to let people with chairs and kids in pushchairs cross first when the crossings opened.
Unfortunately, and this was more of a problem on Saturday and Sunday and mostly when the F1 cars were on the hill, it was usually impossible to get onto the raised viewing platforms due to them being filled with clearly non-disabled people who weren't accompanying anyone else on the platform. Maybe having a steward at the ramp of each one like with the grandstands might solve this? Aside from that little niggle, it was great, she was delighted having Mad Mike and the GAS athletes signing her wheels, and bloody loved the weekend as far as I can tell.

Otherwise, will just echo other's comments about the 'chavvy' clientelle now attending - two instances I noticed were someone laughing as their little kid tried to rip the badge from the front of the Merc AMG DTM car, and a roided-up meathead squaring up to someone who dared to comment on the fact he was using the wrong side of the bridge over the startline straight, as he shouted 'IS IT A BIG fkING DEAL IS IT MATE?' into his face before walking off laughing with his 'bros'. No need for it.
