It was a really good day but I left after an American muscle car had what appeared to be an engine blow up and left a load of oil over about a third of the track. The stewards said it would be about an hour to clear it up and I didn't have the time to hang around. Still a great day, though.

That's a real shame, sounded fantastic yes

Managed a quick squirt or two during the parade but I still think the M5 is more suited to an Autobahn rather than a track wink

It wasn't the Mustang (which was lovely), it was a yellow Corvette C6.
Overheard that it was the gearbox which has only been rebuilt a hundred miles ago.

A great day, the Panteras were my favourites, especially the rear end view (all tyres and exhausts).

Shentodj

Hohoho - your M5 sounded great as you accelerated out of the chicane... and then at the end of the straight you squealed the tyres to avoid rear-ending the car in front - I don't think anyone else noticed! wink

There is always something to see at these Saywell track days.
Though there did seem to be appreciably less cars around than the last few I have attended.

Thanks wink

Unfortunately you don't hear the car but everyone comments how good it sounds as you whizz by smile

I was giving it some, I had a chap in the car who's thinking of buying one so what better place to show him how it goes.

The squeal was very hard braking and the wheel momentarily leaving the ground (due to a bump) and the ABS then locked it and it then it skidded slightly.

Some lovely machinery on display yes

Popped in twice before an appointment in town, always some nice cars.

Parked next to a Black M135i, not sure if anyone on here.

I noticed that as well, perhaps we have been spoilt in the past? A few of us moaning that Peter didn't bring the Zonda, nicely illustrates the point
