Certainly me and my guests do, we find it adds an extra element to the whole event athough we didn't take part in any extra curricular events we found during the racing it made it more exciting cheering your houses drivers. This year both my guests are insisting we partake in the events.

Hell no, its cringeworthy st. Its entirely for those people who think fancy dress at the Revival is an essential part of it.

I think the points system is great mainly because it gets under the skin of those sort of people who think it's fine to turn up at the Revival in a Ferrari anorak and baseball cap wink

p.s. on a serious note, no I didn't contribute but it didn't bother me and it gave Emanuele Pirro something to laugh and joke about on the start line biggrin

Expert trolling there DJRC - here.. have a house point!

redcard

(although i agree - dressing up isn't essential to revival ... but dressing smart - yes)

I'll let CJD off on a technicality only because he said "fancy dress" and I agree we've had enough of the cheap Elvis Presley's look-alikes strutting their stuff at Goodwood! I stand firm on F1 branded kit and baseball caps though, they're chavvie enough in the streets and anyone wearing them at the Revival should be tied the "Ring the Bell" strongman game by the Shell building and hit with the hammer, hard! hehe

They are only at the Revival because they have moved on from the FOS. The wearing of any automotive branded gear should be banned in any civilised environment.

Smart dress should enforced with flame throwers.

This I do agree with. And I was glad to see that the majority of spectators at last years members meet followed the guide lines. I did see a couple of gents in pantaloons de nimes which wasn't in the spirit however coupled with a blazer they still looked smart.

However I am concerned I haven't seen it highlighted about the dress code this year. Just a small piece on the FAQ page.

Unfortunately we will definitely miss the Saturday as we've just booked to go skiing from the 14th - 21st March, we're going with another couple and these were the only dates that worked for all of us as I want to ride the La Plagne Olympic Bobsleigh run on my big birthday.

It's a shame to miss the Saturday evening as that was awesome last year but as I've missed the early booking discounted price I'm going to wait a while to see what the race plans are before I book tickets for the Sunday, I might even leave it until just before I go away but I'm pretty sure I'll be there as the racing last year was just too good to miss.

Interesting to see the tickets for this are out.

I have been sent my FOS and Revival, but not my 73 members. Has everyone got them?

Ditto. I ordered mine last August but no sign yet.

Out of interest Steve have you ordered both days or only one? My theory is that the single day tickets (plastic cards) haven't been released yet, if I can remember to do so when they're open I'll ring the office and ask.

I received my badges and passes last weekend, as usual they are the typical Goodwood high quality enamel swing badges with tags for grandstand passes. Looking forward to it now! biggrin

Correct!! Well deduced Ian!
The day badges for MM weren't quite right, so we're just waiting for the reprinted day badges to arrive & they'll start being dispatched straight away. We've tried to stay ahead of the game by dispatching the weekend badges & grandstand swing badges in the meantime.
