GRRC Open Day looks wonderful.

I just wanted to check, will there be medical staff on hand at 73MM?

I'm worried I'll need resuscitating after the grid of Mclaren F1s goes past at full chat.
Unfortunately though Goodwood will know doubt use a cyclist as a pace vehicle.

Don't be daft, they will have listened to feedback from last year and ensure that the pace car is seriously quick. hehe

In that case they will use a McLaren M24 as a pace car........

If it's a safety matter they should find whatever laps Goodwood the fastest at the Revival and ask that to lead the way. Daytona Cobra, GT40 or what have you.

1:18.954 set by Andrew Smith driving a Lola T70 Spyder during the 2010 Whitsun Trophy so an average speed of 109.3 if my maths is correct.

Like I said earlier, put Kenny Brack in the F40 pace car and see if anyone could catch him! smile

Hi Guys.

I have one 2 day badge for this March's event for sale at its pre Christmas price of £120. I bought this in advance but work has just thrown a spanner in my plans for March and I now cant go.

I can have the badge mailed by registered post as suits, on receipt by cheque or Paypal if anyone is interested. I can mail a picture of the badge for validation on request - (work email wont let me upload it!) email eamonn.long@gmail.com or message me if interested.

Rich,
you missed the two I have for sale, but having more than one post does that not count as lurking

On the subject of pace and the Group C display, I don't know why they don't just let them loose. I mean they all have International licences and they might possibly have a bit of experience , they will have cold tyres and brakes so I believe common sense would prevail! They don't have anything to prove. All they have to do is say No overtaking!

Well said - good points well made! I'd love it if these sentiments got back to the organisers.

James (from Goodwood) used to frequent these sections of Pistonheads but since he moved on I haven't seen much comment from them on here. Hopefully someone will join soon and resume interest.

2x representatives from Goodwood have responded to queries earlier in this post, namely Pablo & myself. There are just some things raised on here that either don't need input from Goodwood, the subject has been done to death in other posts so doesn't need responding to again, or what is being discussed is pure speculation. You can file the subject of "I wonder how fast the cars will be allowed to go" under any of these headings.

Well that told us! hehe

Moving on, can you say if anyone replaced James in his role as head of GRRC yet? I asked Pablo and he said he's not that person. That said Paul, I realise you're in ticket sales and may not know. biggrin

And, sorry Paul, I don't know who you are or what your relationship is to Goodwood. As we are a fairly close knit bunch of people both here and on the GRRC forums it would be nice to know. biggrin
The GRRC team seems to have expanded over the past year...

Well that is a good thing. Or perhaps more people from Goodwood are taking to Pistonheads whereas previously James was the focal point for information?

Hi RichB,

No one yet been recruited in the GRRC role just yet.
