Interestingly I received a beautifully packaged brochure for the event today 'inviting' me to buy tickets. I'm not a member but have attended the FoS for many years. Just bought tickets for both days, can't wait!
I got the same, very nice pack. Tickets must still need to be sold to ba balance the books

If they're struggling to recruit I'd best send my CV in....
I'm still around... just not qualified to answer Goodwood stuff any more as I should really be called jPorsche, now... Totally agree with phomer's post though... Do you really think they (Goodwood) want to create a demo that's not exciting to watch? If only you all knew the massive pile of work that needs to be done to get these things sorted and the time, knowledge and dedication required from all involved.. This post wasn't directed at anyone in particular, but if you think it's you, it probably is!!!!
Cheers,
J
I remembered someone asked a while ago what races are on what days, I now have that information. Obviously qualifying happens on Saturday followed by Gerry Marshall Trophy Part 1, the Taylor Trophy and the Graham Hill Trophy.
Touring cars part 1 - 15min race
Formula juniors - 20min race
GT cars - 60min race
And 3 high speed demo runs on both days.

Great to see you back James! Hope the Porsche job is going well?I appreciate your sentiments and 100% know and appreciate how much damned hard work goes into organising what was a world class event, but the two runs last year, the Le Mans cars and the Turbos was comical, because fast, they were not!
I assume that was something to do with insurance?
Still, no complaints really - it was good to see them in the flesh but ultimately dissapointing, which i'm pretty sure most on here will agree is an exceptional thing to occur at Goodwood, due to the highest standards of stuff we've become used to.
Hope to bump into you at the members' Meeting soon anyhoo!

Just to give you an idea of the changes made to this year's 73rd MM speed demonstrations, compared to last year:
• The cars will not be behind pace-cars at all.
• There will be increased freedom on speed, with the demos run to similar rules as a ‘track day’. That way the cars can give a better impression of what they are capable of.
• Overtaking will be allowed
So good news all round!
Thanks,
Paul.
