Tickets all booked for me and 2 friends. Got them at the circuit. Explained how I prefer to phone or pop in and was informed a new ticket site will be with us next month.

Paul, the website hasn't been fixed. I've just booked my tickets and have been overcharged.
Me too - £130 for both days full price no discount online
Just a note to those that work in the ticket office - I received an answerphone message from Florence [very polite girl] asking me to call in re the discount but got through to Joel who was just as polite. I got confirmation of the discount being credited back to my card, and I also bought another ticket for a friend who is driving down from Yorkshire for the day (!).

Very swift, very pleasant, trouble free and polite - a thumbs up from me!

Thanks again,
Paul.

As a member of the great unwashed, how do I get a ticket? I am willing to exchange bacon rolls, coffee/tea and of course money for a ticket if it's a members only thing. Couldn't make it to the Revival the last few years but this seems a better meeting in terms of actual racing.

I love Goodwood been to every FOS, Im in the GRRC, always popping in there on my bike, have done it all. However for me the one big issue of the 72nd Members meet was not letting the F1 cars go for a time, why o why were they stuck behind F40's? I love F40's but they were in the way.

I was hugely disappointed especially after all the hype, F1 turbos this, Group B rally that, Group C etc! They should be going flat out, that's what we want to see that's what people paid to see, I can go to a Mithril day and watch cars go round the track slowly for free! Lord March, make it happen.
Please do not blame Goodwood for this. Have you ever noticed there is no safety fences around Goodwood circuit?

All motor racing is subject to FIA approval. I bet F1 cars post 1967 will never be able to go flat out around Goodwood circuit unless a safety fence be erected around the circuit, also better run off areas.

Do you really want a ugly safety fence or those big straw bales all around the circuit like we have at FOS ? One race in this years saloon car races lost a wheel and half shaft just after the chicane and it bounced off the pitt wall, (2FT HIGHER AND IT WOULD HAVE HURT SOMEONE)took several other bounces before it hurtled towards the crowd towards the Goodwood tower area. How it lost its momentum and never went into the crowd I do not know . That could have been ugly and people could have been hurt. If the FIA witnessed that there could be a long protracted discussion on the configuration of the circuit.

REMEMBER MOTOR RACING IS PROTENTIALLY DANGEROUS.

It actually came to a stop in one of the big flower baskets, right in front of the fence at the right hand end of the March enclosure / Tower lawn. I was stood taking photos just behind the fence about where it landed 10 minutes before hand. I watched with my jaw on the floor as it's progress was arrested by the flower trough. That was pretty lucky, because there were plenty of folk still stood there.

They are never really going to let the F1 turbo cars fly round full chat and a few of the owners were driving and Im not entirely sure they would be up for it. What I would like to see potentially is a Gp C or post GT40 Sportscar race. Suspect that would be a bit too quick for Goodwood safety though because if a Matra, 917 or 512, etc go straight on at the bottom of Lavant its not going to be pretty!

But sod that, give us more 70s and 80s Touring Cars!!

Taking all the safety aspects into consideration the display cars were lapping much, much slower than most (if not all) of the races this weekend just gone. The Le Mans cars and F1 cars could easily have lapped at around the 1:25 lap speed without difficulty and it would have been no more dangerous than the Whitsun Trophy or the 1950s F1 cars... indeed it would have been safer due to the improvements in more modern cars. The leading cars in the Whitsun Trophy were matching (or actually beating) the old course record of 1:20.4

Agreed. A high speed demo run should be just that. Maybe the pace car should be a mclaren can-am car at full chat and say don't overtake him.....

If you think it's too much then don't go. I went this year and I have already purchased my tickets for next year as I thought it was worth every penny!

I've not had any response on the number of tickets available, hope it's still limited to 20,000

I'm OK with £130 - my only regret this year was not going on both days!

The cars, races, atmosphere, entertainment, venue and lack of any VIP or restricted access areas all made it a fantastic day out.

Tickets booked for next year smile

Really?? You get 14 hours of entertainment on the Saturday and 9 - 10 hours on the Sunday so for a non member that's just over £5 an hour if my maths has served me correct which makes that a good deal.
