Just a brief note to say what I nice surprise it was to receive a DVD from Goodwood this morning! I realise it's in order to promote sales of tickets for the 73rd MM but it's appreciated all the same. And it's a very good DVD too, plenty of racing, very little chatter and a little bit of Amanda Stretton. Must be approaching 2 hours of content in total. biggrin

I have bought the DVDs of all (bar one) of the FoS and Revivals I have attended and I was wondering if there would be one for the Members Meeting. I am very pleased that there is, and delighted to get it in the post for free!

Mine found its way to Cornwall this morning. Lovely suprise and look forward to viewing . Bought my tickets for the 73rd . Meeting and a new collection of dvd's is started. Incidentally, I have all the Revival video/ dvd's from 1999 and FoS from 1996.

What's the members meeting race weekend like compared to the revival?

About a quarter of the crowd no air displays last meeting so pretty much wall to wall track action, no dressing up really good feel to the meeting and great racing

Looking at the brochure looks like it is going to be a good day, tickets booked now hoping for good weather.

So if there are no "extras" just wall to wall racing, why is 10 times more expensive than a normal club meeting at any other circuit?

That's not the subject of this thread but as a vague answer you have to factor in that you are watching absolutely the top bracket of historic racing cars being driven by top drivers not Joe Blow in Caterhams and Minis. You pays your money and takes your choice etc.

Well smart country attire is very strongly recommended.

And not forgetting a great party Saturday night which in itself I'd have paid £120 for.
