Oh come one, you've got to see why people saw the funny side of this. The car looks like it's pissed and there's no damage! If it were a TVR people would all be saying how unreliable they are hehe
I thought what horrible people. Then I saw the photo and laughed... Sorry

i admit that i can laugh about it now - was pretty gutted given you couldnt have asked for a better day...

Fortunately i think i got away lightly since it could have been far worse and far more expensive - better still i now have the excuse to upgrade all the bushes as well...

Roll on next year.

Mine was the poor E36 M3 just through gate 11 with the front wheel a little wonky!

Gutted first time ive had the pass to attend after 3 years of trying and 8 hours of detaling only for the top bolt on the hub to sheer leading to a mega wonky front wheel. Even more dissapointing was the people who could do nothing more than point and laugh when i had made the effort for them and the fact mine would have been the only E36 M3 there...

Hey ho - thank god it happened about 30 meters away from the entrance - had a fun drive on the country roads over there on the way over and god knows what would have been the result had it occured at full tilt!

New shocks and bolts are already inbound - fortunatly i seem to have got away with just that rather than what could have been a terrible day!
Glad it wasn't too serious, we had a chat with you while she was getting loaded up, she is a credit to you, very clean car, not many nice ones around anymore!

Can't believe people are criticising a free event. Personally I thought the selection of cars was good considering there were other events going on locally (Wilton House Supercars and a Porsche meet at Beaulieu). As always we stop for breakfast on the way up and avoid the high prices inside - not exactly rocket science is it?!

Favourite soft top was the lovely Ferrari 275 - not a car I know much about but looked gorgeous both outside and in the engine bay! Great selection of cars in the car parks too - the hot rod and truck next to where the bikes were parked looked awesome.

Didn't see the E36 with the wonky wheel, but did notice the Caterham missing all its oil. Hope you guys get them sorted without too much drama! I got home to find the underside of my 205 covered in oil, I don't think it likes sitting on the motorway at 4krpm for an hour!

I thought the variety of cars was good. Would rather see something different like a Daihatsu rather than the same model Porsches we see all the time at Goodwood Breakfast events.

Also any idea who the guy taking photos standing on the roundabout by the entrance? Wanna see if he got me driving the Chim smile

I drove down in my mate's R129 SL500.

We left it too late to register, so drove straight in the main entrance...

...and were promptly redirected to the public field. wobble

Pre registered cars only allowed on the grid and paddock now.

The Ferrari 275 comes with a 6 figure price tag , along with the Ferrari Daytona's. Not sure why people feel the need to moan about the cars on display. Lots of people spend many hours cleaning there cars and travel miles to make the Breakfast Club what it is.

I spent a week getting my car ready and traveled 70 miles each way in the pouring rain for the super car day.

I may not be interested in every car there but am glad people have made the effort in what ever they drive , and why laugh at someone who's car went wrong.

If you don't like the prices of the food take a picnic, Goodwood may not charge but they still have to pay for the Marshall's and the clean up.

If you don't like it don't go.

Yes I agree with that. And if my pre-registered car is not accepted it is no big deal, I will park in the close and well organised car parks. Well done Goodwood.

I thought the mix was ok. That's true no matter the theme.
Looking through the snaps. Not a lot of love for my little G33 and nothing in the Goodwood super gallery :-)

No photos of the Copen then? I'm disappointed.
Just because it's not your or my cup of tea doesn't mean it should be dismissed.

Anyone who gets up sufficiently early on a Sunday morning to go to Goodwood is an enthusiast who should be welcome on this site. I wasn't particularly interested in the hundreds of MX-5s either - but others are, and these meetings always include a variety of cars not all of which will be of interest to everyone.
You're seriously defending the Daihatsu Copen as an enthusiast's car?
If you read what I posted, you'll see that I was noting that a person who bothers to register and come to an event such as the breakfast club is an enthusiast, irrespective as to whether their cas passes your stringent tests.
