Apparently pre-1925 vehicles are allowed to carry working mechanics up the hill...

It was the 767, not the Le Mans 787, that hit the bales.

One of the NASCAR trucks has also just thumped the bales.

Thanks for the correction re: the Mazda. I must be slightly further into the pre dementia stage than my gp reckons.

Charley Booringman: Toby says 'We could keep this going for hours'.

Every second Charley speaks for seems like hours anyway.

Is this Legard doing the commentary on Motors?

Some of the most ill informed, clueless and inaccurate nonsense I have ever heard

Bloke has no idea about the cars or the drivers

A shame but then we would be moaning if it was just a parade and drivers weren't pushing it.

Just interviewed on Motors TV about things, safe to say he liked driving the old V12 f1 car very very much.

I know, lets not show the 2nd fastest run of the day

Coverage has been abysmal

I think we should be lucky that they provide free coverage.

Sadly it indeed Legard with his interminable gaps between words. almost as if he's nodded off for a second.

I'd never heard of a Sumar Impreza nor Peak's Pike. Or flat 12 Porsche 908's. Or the many ways to pronounce 'Celica'.

Hearing him again reminds me of why he was not taken on as the commentator on F1 on TV.

Yep flat 12 908!

Didn't know the difference between a 956 and 962, thought Richard Attwood was Derek bell. didn't know what the 909 Bergspyder was. Thought a Gulf 917 won le Mans (though that is an oft repeated error)

Didn't know what the Manthey GT3R's history was, so just thought it was any old 911

Most interesting fact he could find about Bells 924 Carrera GTS was that it had pearlescent white wheels FFS

Though Bruce jones and Richard Attwood thought Derek bells first Le Mans win was in 1981!

In response to the post above, yes its nice to have free to air coverage, but there really is no reason for it to be presented by someone so lacking in fundamental knowledge of what they are presenting
