Have to admit the Motors commentator was obviously not briefed on who was driving what and the Goodwood feed he was reading was often wrong (was he even there or in some studio elsewhere?) But for heavens sake... started off calling Bobby Labonte Bobby Labont and by the end he had morphed into Harry Labonte!

They're back, and he's just added about 300mph to the Napier Railton speed record car

In comparison to the utter ste this is being broadcast by Sky at the moment, as in nothing going up the hill, MotorsTV coverage & commentary was professional!!!!!
Very true, much rather see the cars rather than interviews with glimpses of cars in the background.princealbert23 said:

Suzy Perry embarrassing her herself once again, this time by frothing over Valentino Rossi. Wouldn't surprise me if she's named her electric toothbrush after him.
the personality cult of Rossi struck me as a little weirdI love that the coverage was available online and for free but the content was not great and they kept cutting to the adverts just as something good was going to happen. Airshows do not work well on screen so I think they should have cut between that and cars.
WTF were the commentators on though?! Jean Ragnotti is doing his signature 360 spins in the Renault 5 and the commentator is yelling about him spinning 1000 degrees?!

Even though I love aircraft I do find their inclusion in car related events can be a bit distracting and often uncoordinated with the track action.
It is compounded at the FOS by the presence of lots of trees which obscure much of the flying.
The absolute BEST way to see the FOS on TV is to wait for the official DVD to come out in a few months time. It is much more "nerdy" in its content and really goes into the technical aspects of the cars and their histories - which is what I like best about the whole event.
I couldn't give a jot about celebrities and even yakking on about the drivers and riders I find less interesting than the cars - although at least they are relevant.
