Haven't heard anything yet, but that'll be due to the boring R32.

Whatever the theme, there always seem to be a few 911s there... 180degree V, I guess.

The Jensen has a spot on the grid, so lets keep fingers crossed for some decent weather.

They don't seem terribly well organised. I recently received a refusal email for my RR Phantom a week after the event.

What with this and the continued complaints about the parking fairies at each and every event perhaps Goodwood has got a bit big for it's boots and is losing focus on the things that matter to the attendees.

As mentioned above I have a pass for this event but I didn't apply...............

I do think these sort of posts lose sight of the fact that it's a FREE event. People get so worked up about their car not being accepted for this or that or being put in the paddock when they feel it should on the grid.

They moan when their MX5 gets put in a the field just because there's already 25 of them on display in the circuit. They criticise the marshals who are there to keep the traffic moving and ensure the safety of the public who bring their babies, dogs, cats aunts and grannies yet the chap in the Aussie leather bush hat has been doing the job for something like 10 years+ and probably knows more about cars than some of these moaning minnies have had hot dinners. So, next time you get a stray email or late pass remember chill - it's FREE. biggrin

With the greatest of respect you have missed my point. According to his post Stain received an email a week after the event he applied for had taken place, not great PR. I made the point that others were raising issues about Goodwood events that had recurring themes and perhaps Goodwood has taken it's eye off of the details that made the events so successful.

I absolutely agree that the Breakfast Club events are free and very, very worth a visit but a little more focus on the organisation aspect would add value to the members of the GRRC who offer cars to support them. Perhaps Goodwood could ask a few members to pass on comments such as we see here on PH and have the GRRC take them into account for any training that they feel would be beneficial to improve future events. This would include timings for people to arrive and get parked as many are guilty of arriving quite a while after the gates open and then complaining they didn't get parked where they expected......the issue works both ways wink

I hope to be at the V8 meet and will do so if my intermittent electrical issue is sorted by the install of a new alarm and immobilizer system next week...............one of the pleasures of TVR ownership biggrin

OK, so they sent out an invite after the event had passed - an admin error. No-one died. No adults got hurt. And perhaps get your own house in order first - it's a Vee power event, not V8. smile

Indeed fair points, my post was not directed at you or anyone in particular just at the general whinging that always goes on after any Breakfast Club meet. smile
