Members meeting, when will tickets be available?

They were doing mailshots to people with no link whatsoever to the GRRC (such as me) in mid February last year and tickets only sold out about a week before the event (and 3 months after they went on sale to the general public). They had my name from years of FoS tickets, I'm not on the GRRC waiting list.
Whilst I've no doubt it will sell out, it only did last year with quite a bit of effort on the part of Goodwood to sell what was presumably a significant number of tickets to the general public fairly 'last minute'.
Either way I was very grateful as it was by some margin the best motorsport event I've been to.
GRRC have stated that "an allocation of up to 1000 tickets may be released to other non-members, such as Goodwood's loyal motor sport customers, from Friday 1 January 2016". I'm guessing a thousand is a lot less than previously, I can't see them being unsold in February this time.Whilst I've no doubt it will sell out, it only did last year with quite a bit of effort on the part of Goodwood to sell what was presumably a significant number of tickets to the general public fairly 'last minute'.

Very classy invites arrived in the post today. Pukka metal chassis ID plates.
I'd heard of this, thanks for posting the picture.~iw
Received email from Goodwood today;
"Tickets for our motor sport events go on sale to the public on 2 November, but we want to reward you with an exclusive buying window the day before. As you are on the GRRC Waiting List, you can secure your tickets to the Goodwood Revival and Festival of Speed from 0900 on Monday 1 November. Both events are selling out earlier each year so we encourage you to act early to avoid disappointment.
As well as Festival of Speed and Revival, you also have the chance to buy tickets for the 74th Members' Meeting, taking place 19 - 20 March, which will soon be a Members-only event. Look out for another message from us early next week with all the details about what 74MM has in store for you..."

And I thought this would be the year it sold out to GRRC members "Tickets for our motor sport events go on sale to the public on 2 November, but we want to reward you with an exclusive buying window the day before. But if you are buying 5 or 7 tickets as your previous post states, it isn't really only GRRC members that are attending.Granted a GRRC member is purchasing the tickets but still non members attending with tickets purchased by the member.
Unless I have missed something.
On the waiting list and hopefully will get a ticket, even though there are some GRRC members wanting it to be a GRRC event only, though technically it isn't if members can purchase tickets for non members.
Why do you want to gloat and see those on the waiting list miss out ?

Availability described as "good" for Saturday, Sunday and weekend on the GRRC website today so not GRRC sell out.Granted a GRRC member is purchasing the tickets but still non members attending with tickets purchased by the member.

Tickets ordered, accomodation booked.
Just applying final touches to my Non Member badge so ecsrobin can see one of the guilty party attending what should be in his eyes a member only event with their non member guests invited of course.
Just stay in your tracksuit and you won't need a badge then. Just applying final touches to my Non Member badge so ecsrobin can see one of the guilty party attending what should be in his eyes a member only event with their non member guests invited of course.
At the end of the day my main issue is not with non members attending, as you've mentioned my guests are not members. But an event that was originally labelled as an exclusive event for paying members and I'm sure you can see my frustrations. Plus the fact that some non-members maybe don't enter into the spirit of the event as much as the members.
But I'd happily share a pint and a pie with you at the event as long as you're paying

Tracksuit being left for FOS.At the end of the day my main issue is not with non members attending, as you've mentioned my guests are not members. We are paying more for tickets and you also want me to buy a pint and pie, that's maybe a bit much.
On a serious note looking forward to the weekend but not the 11 hour drive down.
I know where you are coming from on the event being exclusive but I am sure as many non members enter the spirit as much as members.

As to the latter, let's hope so this year. I know where you are coming from on the event being exclusive but I am sure as many non members enter the spirit as much as members.
The former - well, if you come from Oop North, I'm sure you won't be one that whinges about the weather. It's March, it will be cold. People should dress accordingly and not moan that they were too cold to stay for the evening entertainment and therefore the tickets are not value for money

I'm assuming you are staying locally? As mentioned bring thermals and jumpers to wear under your tweed
