Having just got to the area today to stay with family before the main event I thought I'd alert those travelling down to some potholes.

On the way into Cocking from the Midhurst direction, just before the 30mph signs there is a seriously large, potential car breaking hole - seriously worth watching out for.

Just a word of note to hopefully save someone the utter misery of damage.

AMight be worth reporting here. Having had to buy several new wheels over the last couple of years I am a regular on the Hampshire Council site and they do seem to act on reports.

Coming from the Rolls Royce roundabout at Goodwood just as it starts to curve right near the crash gate there is a HUGE pothole and very deep.

Goodwood staff are aware although I'm not sure if that has been passed onto the local authority.

On a more serious note (not that the OP's isn't) I recently had the pleasure of returning 'home' to Glasgow OMFG, you have no conception of how bad roads get if money isn't spent. Or spent elswhere.

The roads remind me of a third world country. So much so that I remarked (over one of the city's marvelous curry houses) that it wouldn't be long before a corporate manslaughter case was brought before the courts as a contributing factor - motorways included.

Sad, but watch this space...

There are some horrible ones on the road west out of Lavant towards South Harting / Petersfield. Lots of patching up has taken place but looks like a lot of it has deteriorated and the road looks like a ploughed field in places.

On one stretch, there's a 4" wide, 2" deep, foot-long gouge right on the middle like of the road; if a biker hit that, who knows what would happen...
